Not comparing quality at all, just the long passing DLP type player. It just doesn't exist in the PL

Cesc Fabregas
Outside PL:
Xavi
Pirlo
Modric

dont really categorise Cesc as that with his years at us where he was easily the best creative midfielder in the world when he left

I still remember the debate back then used to be Xavi vs Cesc vs Iniesta vs Pirlo as far as overall midfielders went.

And, then he joined Barca and with that, his reputation just vanished away.

Cesc was nowhere near as slow as Alonso and Pirlo. Modric is miles away from Xhaka.

Sorry. I thought you meant just DLPs. I wasn’t going on quality alone.

Cesc was not a DLP for us, he is a DLP for Chelsea though, but he doesn't play.

I'll give you Xavi but he doesn't play for the PL, but even then, it was Xavi, not a Xhaka

Dude, seriously. Cesc was a bonafide DLP for us. As was Pirlo and he was slower than molasses. Still they are different class than Xhaka. I’ll give you that.

Have you seen Xhaka run? He runs like he's in cement with the stadium attached to the cement.

cement boiz

and cesc was literally an attacking midfielder for us. we built our entire system behind him, the season where he scored 15 and assisted like 16 in the league was glorious

Exactly, as I said above, never a DLP, I didn't even name him.

Other than Alonso, I can't think of one DLP in the Premier League.

No he wasn't, he was a CM if anything he was closer to a CAM than a DLP.
