Yeah, I remember you being against signing Xhaka even before we signed him.

What a waste of £30-35m. Somehow we have a worse starting midfielder than Denilson.

Imho, Xhaka shouldn’t be starting anymore if we aren’t prepared to start him in a formation that suits his abilities. He is, to a lesser extent, in the same boat as Ozil
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

To make his facial features look like Ramsey so Ramsey gets all the criticism and Xhaka gets off scott free

Wouldn't you know it - Xhaka has cost us another goal. He's lost the ball in a similar fashion at least three times this season. Will he ever learn? I hate how sloppy he is on the ball.

i dunno how wenger can see ramsey and xhaka play badly and not think to play a 433 which would immediately make them 10x better without disrupting our attacking play

Wenger is to stubborn to change but we could bring wilshere back in a 4-3-3 and allow ramsey to bomb forward without leaving us to exposed.

Pretty good at playing passes from deep and he’s one of the very few players we have who can actually shoot from outside the box. Xhaka isn’t really a DM so in order for him to focus on what he does best he not only needs rock solid defenders behind him but he also needs midfield warriors around him. Agree with Sims that a 4-3-3 type formation would be the ideal formation for him. Something like the following with the following type of players:

Dida
Cafu --- Nesta --- Maldini --- Jankulovski
Xhaka
Gattuso ---------- Ambrosini
Kaka --- Seedorf
Ronaldo
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

Could've had Fabregas for the same amount.

That pass from deep to Sanchez that led quite a few passes later to the equaliser.

He's so good at that. Think we should give him time, he's not completely hopeless like Ramsey.

I am still waiting for him to settle in, hope it doesn't take too long, not overly convinced.

His sloppiness on the ball leads to him losing the ball in dangerous areas, which costs us goals week after week. I'm sorry, but I won't have any excuse of him taking time to settle in. To make such amateurish and costly errors time after time is not acceptable for a professional footballer.
