Not one.

Trolling. Where are the mods?

One of the two forum trolls thinks defending one our players is trolling LOL.

Your defense of Xhaka is really scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

I know he is the object of hate amongst some - but it's clear he is given red cards where others would not be/ have not been.

To be fair, I think most (if not all) of his reds don't look malicious. Players like Keane, Pearce or Costa are known for their nasty challenges. When they got their red cards, we were quite certain that they had the intention to hurt the opposition. Xhaka is not that kind of player. His red cards are not nasty, just stupid. Needless and stupid.

Intentional or not, malicious or not, makes not an iota of difference. You can see them happening every game, its like it happens in slow motion. The guy is a bigger liability than he is a benefit.

Off course. It doesn't change the outcome. He just can't handle his urge to get carded. He has to go.

I think Arteta wanted to replace him this window but couldn't.

I agree and have said before that he's a stupid player. The mistakes he makes are due to his lack of footballing intelligence.

But... as I've also said before, he's the best that we have in that position. Stupid tackles in stupid places on the pitch aside, he's a good player.

The club has to find a replacement for him in the summer.

I don't think its a lack of intelligence that puts him in trouble, I think its a lack of pace, he gets exposed so easily here in the Prem.

He is better suited to slower paced football, thats why he actually looks like a decent player for Switzerland.

He was brilliant tonight. Looked better playing further forward. Although Partey really struggled when he did as Xhaka is not athletic enough to recover quickly.

He didn't get a red card, progress.

Yep. For all the criticism he receives, we play better with him than without him. Still would rather him sold in the summer and an upgrade brought in, but he's one of the first names on the team sheet until we get someone better.

This is laughable ! We play much better with him than without him, WTF ?!!! We don't even look better with him let alone much better.

Xhaka has played 13 league games this season all starts, the mini table looks like this:
P13, W8, L5, GF23, GA15, PTS 24 - 1.84 points per game

Without Xhaka:
P11, W6, D3, L2, GF14, GA10, PTS 21 - 1.90 points per game

Now, I accept you said we play better with him not we get better results with him but I will have to put that down to your subjective view, because I think we look mediocre or shit with him.
