Oh well, my optimism is gone. As long as he's here, we will never be a serious team

‘It felt really good to be home,’ wrote Xhaka.

Fook that's a sad statement for some of us.

Like I said earlier, Xhaka is holding the team together behind the scenes. That's more valuable to Arteta than whether he performs well or can instill a winning quality. I would say about half the squad are not really trying very hard to have his system succeed.

After he was sacked, Emery singled out Xhaka as the guy who worked hard to reduce friction between the team and the manager. It didn't save his job obviously, but he was still talking about Xhaka in the EL semi presser . Xhaka's loyalty is something managers appreciate.

I completely agree with many of you who have stated that the PL is just too fast paced for him. He’s not a terrible player but he just isn’t good enough to be a starter on a team with top 4 aspirations. I would never talk shit about him on his social media or anything like that but I sure hoped he’d be replaced by now.

He’s part of a group of veteran players that have been around while this club slips further and further down the table.

I’d rather see an inexperienced youngster get his minutes and build for the future.

................High or just trolling?

Hard to tell with this statement.

We were actually playing decent football till he came on the pitch, nice tempo to it, as soon as he came on I remember saying game over.

PS - if you mean last season only, you may have a point, Partey was injured a lot and hadn't settled, as for yesterday Partey was the best player on the pitch until his injury.

It was tongue-in-cheek. But not far beyond the horizons of reality.

It's become too easy to predict Arsenal's trajectory under Josh, Edu, and Arteta.

Onion-style headlines become reality each day. AFC headed in the same direction.

Better than Dani Ceballos, Elneny and an injured Partey. That's worth a 4 year extension?

For me there’s simply no excuse for keeping him, we had a buyer we should have bitten off their hand, Xhaka wanted to leave as well.

Problem is Arteta didn’t want him to leave so made it as hard as possible and he got his way in the end, unforgivable.

Xhaka is a stubborn turd that refuses to be wiped.
The kind that needs half a roll of toilet paper to get rid of.
I can understand the club holding out for a fair price, but giving him a new contract?
No way.
