Xhaka literally kicks the ball on to a player and the ball goes in to the goal

Not his fault though

Got to love this.

The reason managers pick him is because he is the player who constantly gets back to give his keeper/defenders an outlet - Partey doesn't make the same mistakes because Partey is never there to make them ...

Xhaka makes a lot of mistakes but at least he has the balls to keep putting himself in those positions to help his team, maybe we'd be better off if he didn't bit you can't knock the guy for effort ... shame a few more of our outfield players didn't try just as hard, shame Xhaka isn't a whole lot better than he is.

Don’t be ridiculous. He is the last midfielder. He’s expected to take the ball from the defense and the keeper. Are you seriously suggesting that was anyone’s fault but his?

Yes .... it's a team game ... if the strikers had managed more than three shots at goal, if Leno hadn't passed the ball to him, if the squad wasn't full of bang average players, if we had a more experienced manager, if we hadn't pissed away 80m on a useless lazy gobshite 'genius' ... want any more reasons or is it all just one players fault?

If we had taken whatever Hertha were offering us.

Not defending the Xhaka error, or indeed his many errors, he's an average footballer playing in a mid-table side .... however to blame just him for a whole heap of issues is just lazy scapegoating .... we're reaping the rewards for a decade of miss-management, Xhaka is a symptom he's not the root cause.

From back to front there are huge issues -

Runarsson - 3rd division keeper started the season as our number 2
Bellerin / Tierney starting fullbacks who are good going forward but simply can't defend
Chambers/Holding/Mari/Luiz - wouldn't start at any top European side
Xhaka/Elneny/Ceballos - journeymen who wouldn't get on the bench at any top European side
Pepe - 72m / William aged 105 - just WTF
Auba/Laca - great players in their day but their best days are well behind them

We are already relying on a handful of youngsters to hold the EPL side together, sure Xhaka needs to be upgraded but he's certainly not the only one

Problem w/Xhakha is a recurring one. One too many mistakes costing the team. Rarely seen in another player ( probably Luiz). These people don't learn and tend to get away w/it.

Yet we don’t give AMN a chance in central midfield.

It's a simple one touch pass around the corner. He ran back and called for the ball from Leno. He can't really use his right foot.

He had enough time to even take a touch and pass. He did take a touch and it was such a shit touch that he brought pressure on to himself that he wasn't under when leno first passes to him.

That's why it's laughable leno is being blamed for this by the clueless when it's all down to Xhaka.

If Xhaka hadn't called for the ball and played into trouble by Leno then it's the keepers fault. But it was that ran to make himself available for the pass.

He had plenty of options, he should have taken it first time, if he was worried about giving it away he should have put it out for a corner.

The option he chose was ridiculous, he doesn’t have the talent to pull that off.

Typical of Xhaka this though, the guy makes error after error yet Arteta continues to pick him, another sure sign Arteta doesn’t know what he’s doing.

You just don’t play that pass. It was never on and you certainly don’t do it off your weaker foot with an opposing player in the way.

It’s madness to even attempt it when you have safer options.

He should’ve just played it back to Leno and Leno should’ve hit it upfield. You know like they’ve been doing for a hundred years before bloody Pep showed up.

Because he's a skinny little weed who doesn't release the ball quick enough either.

We're the only fanbase who don't aspire to be better.

Its always "Why Xhaka when we could have AMN", "Why Lacazette when we could have Giroud" "Why Arteta when we could of kept Emery"

How about someone who's actually good? such a novel idea.

Ugh. He was partly responsible for that goal we conceded against Leicester too.

Can't see any defense of him. He's just not cut out for Arsenal.
