So far not very positive about our reinforcements.

Warning this is taken out of context. A player would rather come to us on loan then sign for Spurs permanently.

Would be some window if we get 4/4

I am not taking the piss, but why? Is ot because we would've bought 4 players or is it the quality of the players that you like? The only one there that I know is quality is Ceballos.

I'm going into the season without any expectations or desires at all, and with that being the case I'll just sit back and enjoy the football. :)

This approach will probably last about ten minutes.

The quality and profile of the players is far better than I expected the clowns BTS would go for

Sort of agree. Tierney looks average on youtube, we cant even use saliba this season so we are still going to play mustafi and koscienly, none knew ceballos before the summer. Everton looks great tho

Tierney is the real deal. I know he's only played in Scotland but he's performed consistently in Europe for Celtic and his style of play is exactly what we need at left-back. He's the best player I've seen in the SPL since van Dijk left.

Pretty much in agreement with this sentiment. I tend to think of it as football snobbery how people often dismiss the quality of some players in Scotland which yes it is only a very small pool, but it's been for years now that many foreign players have used it as a proving ground for handling the robustness of British football and a stepping stone to the premier league.

Other Scottish clubs are available but the hands down masters of recognising and exploiting this trade route are Celtic when you think about the likes of Di Canio, Viduka and van Hooidjonk that spring to mind.

Yes I have made this point before, but I can only put it down to a snobbish mentality as to why we baulked at the £10M or so asking price for van Djik when he was smashing it up there and our small mindedness let Southampton step in, which turned out nice.

Same with the championship when I recollect Harry Maguire being at Sheffield United and thinking the guy can play and we could with some of that British beef in our defense, and that both he AND Andy Robertson ended up at Hull City together for relative peanuts makes a mockery of every big clubs so called scouting systems. And don't get me started on how apparently nobody but Norwich and Leicester could see the quality in James Maddison.

Time to dust this thread down.

First time in decades of following the arsenal that i can remember literally everyone being rattled at the business weve done.

Arsenal fans rattled at:

key areas being massively improved
Deadwood being shifted on
No key players leaving
Proper intent being shown
A mix of future and current quality being brought in

Opposition clubs and fans rattled because:

Their clubs have fallen short
Theyve lost or are losing key players with no replacements
They're losing players to us
They cant rely on us being the banter club in the window
Targets they were hyping over wearing read and white
Theyve been parred on key targets

Pundits rattled because:

They cant laugh at us to mask their favourite clubs short comings.
They probably dont know what to make of us going into the season.
Their favourite club either didnt do enough, did f**k all or may have put themselves in a struggle situation in key areas.

Every time I try to put oyr first XI down I realise I've missed someone out. That is how good our squad is.

There are still areas that could be improved, third choice striker, back up RB but we are as strong as Utd, Chelsea and Spurs imo. If Bellerin and Tierney are back soon (and Holding) then I think we could even challenge City/Liverpool.

Another couple of windows and the de-wengerisation of Arsenal should be complete. Then we can start competing for titles again!!!

Wenger and Gazidis were f...ing useless. This new team reminds me of the days when Wenger and Dein were bossing the transfermarket!
