We're still not where we need to be, but we're in a good position, all things considered.

We'll probably need to get that as the bare minimum if we're to win the top 4 trophy this season. Would be phenomenal from Emery in his first season in charge if we were to reach that points total.

83 points has always been enough to get you at least 3rd
Not that I even want to countanance talking about top 4
I expect everyone associated with the Arsenal trying to win the title

Still unbeaten for 12 games, plus going by the latest reports both Kolasinac and Monreal could return ahead of the Liverpool game come next Saturday.

Top 4 position still intact providing Spurs either draw or lose to City tomorrow night.

I'd rather Spurs beat Man City tbh.

Spurs will drop silly points in the course of the season. Can't say City will.

Why, that makes no sense to me !! Our battle is not with City, there is no chance we will win the league, our defence is too pap !! Finishing in the top 4 is a far more realistic goal and that makes Spurs our immediate competition, not City.

Makes sense to me from today's standpoint. And, yes, City will win the League or worst come 2nd.

As I said there, Spurs will drop silly points here and there. We have two games coming up with Spurs. We've already lost to City at home. And we're not going to beat them at the Etihad. If Spurs beat City tonight, unlikely I know, we'd be one point behind Manchester "Best team EVA~!" City. Not bad, eh?

Plus, this would also peg a loss on City's Prem campaign. God forbid if City remain unbeaten until January, we'd have the media ready to drive the narrative of Invincibles v.2 - only this time better, badder.. We already have these buffoons underrating our Invincibles team, with our own players (like Ian Wright) subliminally indicating that the 97/98 team was better than the Invincibles. Meh.

We're still in the title race, or have we given up, or are we not? Huh? It doesn't matter what happens in May. We can beat Spurs. We can't beat City at the Etihad. As it is, for the title's sake and to avoid another drama surrounding the Invincibles, I'd hope Spurs win.

Spurs being the bottlers they are won't win. But that's another thing.

In the history of the Premier League the top 4 clubs have never all had 80+ points in the season, so why you think it will happen this season I don't know. The highest points total for a 4th place finish was Arsenal in 2013/14 with 79 points, the average is around 68-70 pts.

It's a strange one.
I do really hate what the likes of Man City have done to football, but Spurs will always be the main rival.
That said, I also think football, in general, has been sanitised. It used to be that the players were also really passionate about rivalries and that fuelled the tribal nature of football. That nature is not close to being as strong these days.

At least Man City have spent oil money “the right way”

What they’ve done to the local area and the community of Manchester is great

Ah mate it’s disgusting. Honestly.

Had ach wanting spurs to score against City last night which would of meant they would of gone level on points with ya.

Absolutely shameful.

I hate spurs more but I get the hate for city, they bought the division more than Chelsea ever did and on top of that they are playing the most boring football imaginable with players that should be playing the most exciting football in the world, the way they tried to pass it in yesterday with Silva I think was crigneworthy.

Didn't beckenbauer once say when Pep was at bayern that he expected them to pass the ball on their own goal line :rofll:

Pep needs to loosen up and let his team express themselves
