Where there is life there is hope, (not if we keep this clown of a manager though.)

Sometimes, teams who are not in Europe do better in the league with poorer resources because they are not playing as many games.

With a £100m financial loss imminent for this season, we might actually have a barren transfer window that forces Arteta to play Balogun and Saliba.

OK i know it's long shot but if Arteta's boys win their remaining games, not an unreasonable assumption given the opposition and Chelski lose theirs, voila it 'could' happen.

We can only live in hope but this is the positive energy thread!

UPDATE

After last night's win against Chelski, if we beat Palace and Brighton we could still make the top 6!

If we do win those 2 games, then WHU will have to win 1 and draw 1 from their last 3 to stay above us. They are not in good form.
We're a point behind Spurs - they have a game in hand and a better GD, so realistically they need to lose 1 and draw 1, with 1 win as a max from their last 3 games also.
Everton would need to drop 6 points from their last 12.

IF those things happen we'll finish 6th.
Not impossible at all.

Never underestimate Spurs' ability to contrive a way to f**k up.
They SHOULD finish above us, but that doesn't mean they will.

How glorious would it be if we finished above them - would laugh for a week solid I think.

St Totteringham's Day would be a high spot in a dismal season. It might happen with their new manager too.

I have come to terms with Arteta still being manager into the new season, as pissed as I will be, I have come to terms with it.
