Just thought I'd throw this out there... Probably should have waited until after tonight's game to be fair but hey, I'm an optimist.
So first thing's first... We need to win 5 of our next 6, in order for there to be a St. Totteringham's day. With a win tonight and due to the Spuds FA Cup semi-final with Chavski on Sunday, a win against Wigan Monday would see us 8 points clear of them even before their next PL kick-off. I fully believe we'll have a St. Totteringham's day this year as long as we forget the one loss we've had in the past 9 and focus on treating every single game like a cup final.
Now with that being said, on to the next - We currently sit 10 points behind City which I think even if we win tonight, it may stay the same as I don't see, even with their recent "slump", City rolling over for West Brom at home - But if by some miracle it does happen that gap would be closed to 7 points - But again having said that their run in isn't exactly difficult Norwich after tonight, then Wolves... United could be difficult but they're at home and considering the scoreline at OT I'm nervous on that one. Newcastle away will be difficult for them but QPR? Not sure... Although we know teams bound for relegation do not lie down easy in the final game(s).
So considering not even a month ago we were 10 points behind the Spuds and how we've pushed through that, any chance of us possibly pipping City to the runner-up position?
