Exactly. But Bale actually winning the thing is a sick joke, he shouldn't even have been nominated

He won it cos he scored a hat trick at the San Siro.

No idea what hes done since or before that.

They lost that game at the San Siro btw.

Its a typical British trait. To glorify losers. Must be the only country who makes winning look cool.

Just look at Eddie The Eagle for example

how can this award be taken seriously when a guy who has had two good games this season (neither of which were in the EPL) wins it?
in all honesty, it probably should have been Nani... was he even nominated?

Really happy for Sagna, he is an amazing RB and doesn't get enough credit from pundits. Only the other day someone was saying Fabregas, RVP, Wilshere, Nasri are our only top class players.

True that, and again especially Djourou, he get absolutly no credit from 'experts' who just bang on about our CB problems. We conceded this season just one goal per game on average when hes started which is a better ratio even than Vermaelen and Ferdinand last season.

Bale won it because he is British, simple as

This just proves that the British players in the league dont like foreign players, it is becoming very xenophobic

Its the same reason a 24 year old Milner won Young Player of The Year over Cesc last season

I agree Goose,I mean if I am completely honest I think Tevez or Adam shouldve won it as chimp and nanas both went off the radar around christmas, while Tevez and Adam both played well
