Arsenal midfielder Denilson has told Brazilian star Willian to forget signing for Chelsea and join the Gunners instead.
The Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker's stunning form in the Champions League has not gone unnoticed by top clubs across Europe and he is likely to leave the Ukrainian club in the summer.
Willian, 22, will have a chance to display his talent on Tuesday night in the second leg of Shakhtar's Champions League quarter-final tie against Barcelona, who have also watched him extensively.
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is a huge admirer of the £25 million-rated Samba star and has is weighing up a summer move, where he could join fellow Brazilians David Luiz, Ramires and Alex.
But Denilson has spoken to Willian about signing for Arsenal instead and says his compatriot has the match-winning class the Gunners need to challenge for honours.
Denilson said: "Willian would be perfect for Arsenal. I know him well from the Brazil team and he has a real winning mentality.
“I've heard Chelsea are interested in him but I think his character could really improve our team.
“We need match-winners at Arsenal and knowing what he does for Shakhtar and the national team I know he could do the same in England.
“I believe his style would fit much better at Arsenal because of the way we play football. He has great vision and ability. I think he's one of the best creative players I have played with.
“I've spoken to him and told him that he could be a success with us. I think he would definitely make our team stronger.”
Willian burst onto the scene with a stunning performance in the Ukrainian club's Uefa Cup final triumph over Werder Bremen in 2009.
He is one of a number of exciting Brazilian talents in the Shakhtar squad along with Douglas Costa, Alex Teixeira, Fernandinho, Luiz Adriano, and Jadson.
