As long he doesn't take a quick nip behind the billboards I'm fine with him coming back

He is a Goalkeeper.

Last time i looked they didn't run around for 90 minutes...

Anyway, Jens back at the club? As what? Backup to Almunia?

No thanks, maybe if Lehmann came back and started every game maybe, old man has still got it.

Well unless he massively let himself go in the 6 months since he stopped playing i wouldn't expect them to be too bad.

Plus as mentioned hasn't he been training etc?

not unusual for keepers to play into there fourties pat jennings did for us, and sir Stanley matthews played good football into his fifties, of course AW would of given Mathews the arse at 30.

Lehmann would be the mad kind of leader we could do with. He could piss round his goal area, that will stop the opposing strikers

f**k yess!!!!

BRING BACK ZE GERMAN!!! NOW!

The guy is training (coaching isn't he?) - He's eligible as a loan signing - He would start w/ Al as backup. Almunia knows those ropes ;)

You were around back then, cause i wasnt never seen him play pesonally, but just a point that AW over 30 policy is a Farce look at the talent that even if unable to play every week would of been huge to have as squad players.

Still, look at all the TOP clubs with TOP players who are getting on...

Barcelona have Puyol, Xavi and Abidal to name three, Man Utd have Giggs, Ferdinand, Scholes, Chelsea have Lampard, Drogba, Anelka, Malouda, Cole...

These are all quality players who are all over 30...

The game may be very different to when Matthews played but it still makes a mockery of AW's over 30 policy, a policy which has seen us lose so many quality players.

Lehmann isn't an outfield player either, he is a GK, i honestly believe that a fit and healthy GK could play until his mid-forties.
