Laca is low on confidence but I cannot ask for more right now. He absolutely left everything on that pitch.
This is what I like. If a player is in bad form at least he should put in the effort and leave his all on that pitch. If he can do that then I can’t fault them.

I appreciated Lacazette’s effort in the United game. He was poor in front of goal due to low confidence but you can tell that he really put in a good old slog. Can’t be asking for more right now until he can build back his confidence.

I do think some of the criticism is harsh, He has fantastic hold up play, decent ability/skill and top work rate. He just does not score enough goals. He would do a job for most clubs in the PL. and Europe. At the moment he is fine here not like we are challenging for the PL anytime soon so do not get the hate.

Lacazette's form has tailed off recently. But last year and earlier this season, he was arguably our best forward. Scored terrific goals, nice dribbles inside the box, and critical assists. But his current off form has put us in dire straits, and Pepe's indifferent outings haven't helped either.
Only bright spots are Martinelli ( fantastic buy) and Auba scoring touch ( haven't deserted him , yet, knock on wood).

Has finished 2019 with one away goal in the Premier League. That's simply not good enough.

Another weak performance. Worked hard but had the chance to give us the 3 pts but fluffed it.

Shame auba is out for the next game because laca needs some time on the bench.

Auba scored 3 in his last 4 from the LW and 1 in his last 4 from CF (PL).

He's perfectly fine in either position, can go missing in either can score from either it's not a problem. I actually think he gets more space from the LW because he can go between full back and CB but the problem is if he gets stuck wide in the corner he can't really take players on because his ball control is shit.
