I rewatched the 2nd half, how did you know it was Laca off for Iwobi and not Ramsey or Auba?

What made you think it was Laca, I didn't see any indication?

Emery said so in the post game interview.

He's actually gotten better this season, same marksmanship but now stronger physically.

Auba has some competition for most goals.

Well this doesn't sound encouraging?

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/footbal ... ews-gossip

"I miss Ligue 1's atmosphere," the former Lyon star said.

"In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters.

Alexandre Lacazette claims the atmosphere in France is better than it is in England
"There's a better atmosphere in French stadiums."

Hope that doesn't mean he's unhappy at AFC, can't see why that would be, maybe he's just a bit homesick?

Well the man said it like it is. Especially at our home games.
Emirates is worse than Highbury. Same Highbury that was called a library many times. We have had great atmospheres for sure but most times, 2 to 3 thousand opposing fans usually out-sing our home support.

........ 1 - nil to The Arsenal

It simply means that the Emirates is a library, which it is.

Also there's the fact that he's obviously going to be biased towards his home nation.

Really nothing in the comment.

Yeah, he didn't say anything we don't already know.

Sounds like he just misses Ligue 1's atmosphere - a bit like moving out of your parent's home and missing your mom's cooking, but that doesn't mean you wanna move back.

Yeah he's right.

You only have to listen to the French when they come over here for the CL nights. They ousting the majority of home fans for 90 minutes.

PSG fans got clapped by Liverpool fans the other week for it.

Having been raised on the North Bank and leaving most games hoarse, the atmosphere at the Emirates is just sad in comparison. I was sitting behind the goal at the Watford game and there was a bit of singing from up high behind me that no one around me contributed to, so you feel a bit nobbish shouting by yourself and soon give up. :(

Palace ruined their amazing atmosphere by changing the places people could sit, but after so many complaints, even from opposition Managers, they've overturned it.

Also, its a lot easier for a bunch of away fans in these big all seater stadiums to make themselves heard. The fact they have travelled, means they are proper fans and all bunched together in the corner gives them the ability to sing as a solid group.

The Emirates in Fifa 19’s got more atmosphere than the real one!

    Really nothing in the comment.

    YES THERE IS ....

When a top International player is publicly telling us that our home ground has a shit atmosphere then there is something in that comment .... in all the years I've been following football I can say with absolute certainty that the crowd can indeed be the 12th man ... even today with no standing (can't come back soon enough) some grounds still turn it up ... Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Stoke, Swansea all had their moments right now Huddersfield might be crap but they still create an atmosphere we can only dream about ...

For a few years we fought hard for 'singing areas' but as usual the club ignored us .... hate to credit the c**** but Spurs have it right, when selling season tickets at their new place the designated future standing areas, the 'home' end, the new 'Paxton' section and the 'East Stand' section ... all aimed at hard core fans from around the old stadium ... will that work? well f**k knows but at least they thought about it ...

So just why are Lacca's words important? because when someone tells you something is wrong you should welcome that feedback, not with "nothing in that comment" but instead by taking criticism on-board and trying to put things right ...

Safe standing is surely on the way, it's a lucky opportunity for us to get things right, the club right now should be making proposals on where safe standing will go, be planning to allow season ticket holders who want to stand to move to those areas next season ... to be ahead of the game for once not always playing catch-up ... get all the standing fans in groups together and we will get the atmosphere back, at the very least we should try because as Lacca points out it can't get much worse ...
