What would you guys think if...

Lacazette 35m plus Umtiti
Sell Mustafi for 15m
buy Wilfired Zaha for 50m

I don't want to see Lacazette gone, i think hes great, but Zaha would be a great replacement because Auba could play centre and Zaha can take Aubas slot on the left and we would be more functional.

And it leaves the rest of our budget (plus money we make from sales) to sign a LB, RB, B2B and a RW to replace Mkhy.

That said, i think the rumour is BS.

I don't like it. No swap deals. I'd prefer a player that wants to come here plus when it comes to defenders, I believe should be looking for someone within the Premier League.

Aubameyang is 30 and will need replacing soon. There aren't many good strikers around these days and they're bloody expensive. Selling Lacazette whilst Aubameyang winds down....it's just not a good idea.

Also, I don't think Zaha is out of our reach. Just buy him with the budget we have and recoup a little from sales of other players. It doesn't have to be funded by selling Lacazette.

This.

We are blessed currently with Auba and Laca, they are the ones who have gotten us this far because it certainly isn't our defence, our midfield is also so-so.

Sell the one area we don't have to strengthen only to run into that problem next year. Sounds like.... Arsenal.

Agree with most of this. Lacazette is also just a better center forward than Aubameyang so we would be going backwards in this department imo. Wrt Zaha, I like him but I don't think he'll be worth the amount I'm expecting Crystal Palace will demand for him. If anyone needs to be part of a swap deal, and given our situation, it's Zaha not Lacazette. The majority of what we have to spend needs to go towards improving the defense first. Anything left can go towards improving the offense.

i really hope it’s a load of rubbish.

Losing Laca and Ramsey in the same window would be devastating imo.

Yeah i would be gutted, i think it does pose a strange double edged sword problem when playing Laca and Auba together though, they work well together and have a understanding, but the team loses out on creativity.

Its like if 1 of these were playing up front on their own with proper wingers they would probably bag 30 goals, but instead they are feeding off of scraps and sharing the goal load, so if we really did lose Laca, there are a few ways around it, bringing in 1 or 2 wingers and a up and coming young striker would not hurt.

Why can pool throw around money for keita and ox but we have to sell to strengthen areas. That should be the only transfer story in the summer.

Welbeck:5/1-121 mins Only
Xhaka: 4/2
Kos: 3/0
Mustafi:3/0
Sokratis:3/0
Smith Rowe:3/0-402 mins
