Needs some game time surely. Auba has been awful so far.

Arsenal and France striker Alexandre Lacazette, 30, has no desire to sign a new contract at the club. His current deal expires at the end of the season. (Le10 Sport - in French)

Need a replacement when he leaves.

Arteta buying a CB no doubt

Of course he's not going to sign.

It would be terrible for both parties.

AFC will never give Laca the Auba / Ozil style Golden parachute he wants so the only way he'll get ay money is to go on a free.

We don't want to pay, he wants the best money he can get .......... he's not in great demand, I don't even think he'll get even on a free anything like what he wants wages wise.

His record against Spurs is excellent, he has to start this weekend.

Mbappe plays in a farmers league. Not good enough for Arteta.

Arsenal will offer France forward Alexandre Lacazette, 30, to Sevilla as part of a deal to sign 25-year-old Morocco striker Youssef En-Nesyri. (La Razon - in Spanish)

He joined PSG.
They are the financial cheats who have basically won the farmers league before a ball is kicked.
They are already 9 points clear at the top after 8 bloody games. Joke league.
That is why Mbappe is leaving no doubt. he's not going to reach his potential playing crap teams week in week out.
Messi has gone to his retirement home for a fat paycheck, just like Neymar did... although at least Messi looks good against the farmers each week.

A farmers league where we signed our best CB from.

Meanwhile the one we signed from the PL and cost 50 million is making errors almost every week

Yes - he left the farmers league because it wasn't at the level he needed.
Good players leave the farmers league except those going into semi-retirement at the end of their career.
That is why it is known throughout Europe as the Farmers League
It's full of dross teams where the young players that are any good dream of playing elsewhere.
Those that are not good enough stay.

There are some remarkably good African players playing at the top leagues in the world too that came straight from Africa - doesn't mean the African domestic leagues are any good.

Well no, he left because he was at a small club and had the chance to play for a bigger club.

There’s only one reason good players don’t always stay there, money plain and simple.

The PL has got stacks of it (due to Sky mainly) the French league doesn’t, you can see what happens when clubs do like PSG, players flock there.

Even with our money though we struggle to attract the cream of the crop as they aren’t interested in coming to teams who are 8th and not even in Europe, these players want to win.

It was the same in the 90s with Italy, they had all the money so all the top players went there.

Don’t fool yourself into thinking it’s because of the supposed strength of a league.

There’s only a few clubs who can attract players for other things than money, the historical greats like Real, Barca, Juve etc but they’re successful as well and also had money.

The guy who plays for us in the PL having left the farmers league - as all good young players eventually do.

I think it's time to post the central defenders that made the short list for team of the season last year in Ligie 1:

Yunis Abdelhamid, Marquinhos, Alexander Djiku, Nayef Aguerd, Marcelo, Harold Moukoudi, Presnel Kimpembe, Loic Bade, Axel Disasi, Jose Fonte, Guillermo Maripan, Duje Caleta-Car, Saliba and Sven Botman

How bad must the rest of them be if that is the best 15 central defenders in the league!
