Hopefully fit enough for Sunday and make up for it.

Yeah we need him,
God forbid we have to rely on Auba.

I like Lacazette but his forward play has been non-existent recently.

Where's the goals?

He's also never in the box for crosses etc, not that it would do much good at 5'9, which is too short, we need someone minimum 6'1 - 6'2.

Nketiah showed against Sunderland what a proper CF could do for us in Arteta's chosen system and Laca is going anyway.

We need to forget both Laca and Auba and move on, this is Arteta's choice to play this way (its not my preferred set up) so regardless we need to get the proper profile of players, no if's or buts.

He needed to score that chance today - the life went out of us when he missed that.
Small moments.
We really badly need a striker - Laca, Auba both poor finishers. Nketiah is not the answer. Balogun not close to being ready and now on loan. We have no striker that can really put the ball in the back of the net when it's really needed.

If Vlahovic is not coming, we better be getting a finisher before the end of Jan or top 4 chances are dead.

Do me a favour.

Whoever comes in we need them to be deadly in front of goal - DCL isn't, unfortunately.

What's happened to him? Offers f all.

This wasn't as bad as the Everton game but still pretty bad

No striker in the summer has come back to haunt us

Salah wasn't prior to joining Liverpool.

The potential was there though.

Salah played only 500 minutes in the PL for Chelsea - we didn't have anything to go on. The scouts will have spotted something.

DCL has had 10,000 minutes in the PL and shown he is not a goal scorer.
Could he all of a sudden make a leap forward in goal scoring? Sure, but I would prefer we went for someone proven - or found the next Salah.

We don't need "a" striker, we need two minimum.

One now, one in summer.

Our entire striker roster is fked, Auba, done, Laca, done and going, Nketiah, done and going.

Just play Martinelli up front and move ESR back out to the left. Lacazette will always have these phases. It's the story of his Arsenal career.

I'd put Pepe through the middle as an option

Pepe or Martinelli are not the strong CF type we need for this formation.

Pepe could play up front in a two or a three like Liverpool.

None of these players can play the lone CF role, you need a Lukaku, Vlahovic type for that.

Blame Arteta, he's the one who insists on playing this system.
