Why would he want to play for trash like Newcastle? Maybe money's not the only thing on his mind unlike some other strikers we have.

This guy is so underrated by our fans AND our board.

Ive rated him since day 1 and still do. Sure, he misses some chances that really need to go in.. but which striker doesnt?

He HAS the ability to score goals, hold the ball up, link up with the rest of the team, put in a SHIFT effort wise. He's just a smart and good football player all round.

But he is criminally underrated by so many people , I just dont get it.

Good luck to us getting a better player than Lacazette without CL money/CL football to offer.

I like him but since he produced the worst striker performance of all time in that game v Everton, got to go

Scores nowhere near enough

Whilst I agree he was terrible in that game, generally speaking, I find him quite consistent. And I truly wonder who would be able to up his performance if bought as replacement?

He also does go missing in some games. He is strong up front, can hold up play and can hold off defenders and score.

For me the quality that really stands out is his football ability. Like, he can play legit play. He is no Messi, but he is always involved in the game.

IMO he performs best with a smart player like Martinelli to help him fill the gap he leaves when he drops down to pick up the ball.

Martinelli - Lacazette - Saka
with Smith-Rowe backing them behind those 3....

I wouldnt want that to change for the next couple of years atleast.

But alas, Lacazette is probably on his way out. I wonder what Arsenal will do. Shift Pepe to the middle? But Arteta doesnt rate him AT ALL.. Oh to be an Arsenal fan, where the board doesnt care about performance on the pitch and the manager picks Xhaka every single game even though he picks up red cards like its the next vaccine and gives away penalties like he's a secret agent playing for the other team.

But now im going totally off topic =) I could write a book about how much I dislike/loathe Xhaka.

I'll say this, literally every time he replaced Auba or partnered Auba in the last 2 years, we've looked not just a bit better, but a lot better. He's been our best CF for a long time.
Doesn't look like he's staying, however, so we'll need a striker to replace the legend in his own lunch time, partyboy.

He's rated just fine.

His best season was in a front 2 with Auba in 18/19. He never kicked on from there, but like evryone else, he had to deal with managerial and tactical changes.

Auba is awful now but he was a match winner for us on several occasions, particularly in the FA Cup. Laca's never been that.

His output has been average during his time here barring a couple of seasons.

When he puts on the cannon he has always given 100% each time and to his own downfall too for not being greedy and staying up top waiting for the ball.

He has a capacity which wasn't top top level but he reached his capacity that is all you can ask in any profession how many ballers haven't come near their potential.

Same goes for Giroud (Except the chasing off the ball) never seen much of that from him :)

Doing us a favour by not signing an extension.

He's far slower than Auba, and is never in the box when we need him.

What's the point in him?

Far worse up front than Auba

Bad game, bad miss, disappointing.

Hopefully fit enough for Sunday and make up for it.

The point is he's better than Lamboboy, but that is not difficult.
He looked like him today with his finishing , however.
