Once Laca had gone, we were REALLY over run.
Had no options to hold the ball or win it.

............ yet you said it was a mistake playing two strikers?

Make up your mind.

He was tired. He gave his all yes, but he was not really pressing on the second half. I think that's why he almost always the first player to be subbed.
He rarely played for 90 minutes under Wenger and Emery as well. People were talking about that back in the day, remember?

Arsenal will not discuss a new contract with 30-year-old French forward Alexandre Lacazette until the end of the season, despite knowing they risk losing him for nothing in the summer. Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, Marseille and Newcastle are all interested in the striker. (Sun)

Perfect signing for Newcastle if they stay up. He won't have to press as much, and he's within the tier of players they could reasonably expect to sign.

Exchange with Milan for Kessie now.
Could also do a deal with Madrid for Saul
Win win for all.

Saul Niguez? I actually like him, but this is not a good season for him. Like at all.

Saul has been so poor that Chelsea are cutting his loan short. He's going back in Jan.

What I was thinking. He'd be a perfect stopgap for them assuming they stay up.

Marseille makes sense too if they get into the CL and he wants to play Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

He should go back to France. He’d do great for marseille. He doesn’t have the physical profile of a top premier league center forward nor the skill of an aguero to make up for it. But smaller forwards do well in France.

Well there it is, he's off, wants to secure that free agent contract.

“Of course, my agents are starting to look to the right and to the left,” Lacazette told Telefoot, via the Metro.

“But not until January, I really want to focus myself on something.

“And then we will see what is on offer, if the challenges are interesting, if there are beautiful projects, how they are counting on me… so there are still many questions. I prefer to wait until January to position myself.”

Not too fussed about losing him in the summer.

I think we can trust him to be professional until the end of his contract. He doesn't seem like he'd be the type to down tools and coast.

Does this mean he goes for free? Another one.

If the AFCON is going ahead, we can't afford to lose him in January. Fine if he goes on a free and he'll play out of his skin to attract the best bids.
