Makes the difference. Engages the CBs simple. Draws the fouls.

Worked his socks off. Drop Odegaard and keep playing this 4-4-2 with Laca dropping off.

Just a shame he's the first one bemoaned when we have an off game.

Point for me is overall we are much more balanced with Laca in the team, yes we need goals from the wingers to compensate for his Giroud level tally but with the ''weapons'' we currently have I think he's vital. Won't be perfect or mean we dominate every game but more often than not I'd be starting him CF.

Agree. Always thought he's the most complete forward we have.

It was the same 4-2-3-1 but played like a 4-4-1-1 because of Lacas natural tendancy to attack.

But I agree two central strikers is what we need to keep doing.

I literally said it earlier today that the reason I wanted us to change formation is because Auba is always isolated, laca playing central gives him that needed support.

Amazing work rate today, smart footwork to grab the pen as well. Him and Auba together are usually better than the sum of their parts.

Option 1 - gone in summer for nothing.
Option 2 - risky big contract extension for a 30 year old.

What would you do?

I read Inter were going to offer him 77k a week, makes sense for him to sign a extension for a year or 2 on the wage hes on now unless he wants a new challenge.
