True. It wasn't something I'd given much thought to until the nitpickers started nitpicking...

Not scoring at all against big teams is never a problem if you are Lacazette or Suarez or some other fancy fleet footed attacker.

Only if you are Olivier Giroud. It is a permanent problem even if you do actually start scoring goals against big teams.

Maybe because in majority of those big games Suarez was still putting in MOTM performances, assisting and setting up chances through out.

If Giroud doesn't score he usually has contributed very little.

As good as dead for us, if we're fighting PSG and ManU. One is oil-pumped and doesn't mind spending £45m on David Luiz, while the other is so desperate to get back into the big League, they'll pay double of the market rate just to land a player.

I think United will go for a Lacazette/Martinez type player, they've had enough with their current type of striker, i.e. RVP & Falcao. I think they want pacey runners who know where the goal is.

The only proven winner in red and white at this club? Arsene Wenger. Sack the board.

No surprises there really. They are in the Champions League next season with Lyon and are regular starters. Any transfers a year before Euro 16 could result in them losing their places in the French national team. Euro 16 most likely being the only major international competition they'll experience on home soil during their playing career.

For the same reason, Schneiderlin may well stay at Southampton for another year, especially if they finish in a Europa slot. For Les Bleus, any plans for the next year will take into account what puts them in the best possible position for Euro 16, and first on the list is regular games. More than one player has hinted that they'll have a discussion with DD before they decide what to do if approached by a "bigger" club.

he is the most likely to come a bit under the radar and so many other striker and transfers for the big clubs to pursue .

we had a huge drought of strikers for many seasons. unless you count cavani or falcao but they were both way to expensive.

now theres a new generation coming up and we're gonna let them get away again? then complain theres nothing left on the market?!
