Yikes

I love Laca but if it’s either him or Auba I’m choosing Auba every time

Def Auba.

However we look like we won't have a choice soon, we're not keeping both if these transfer requests are genuine.

............ then we'll be left with that wet lettuce Pepe.

...and Martinelli. He's the potential to be better than both of them.
Needs to start.

He's poor man's Benzema to our poor man's Ronaldo (Auba).

Keep both of them at any cost.

Yup. I've been saying that with this squad, we can play a lesser version of that 2011-12 Real Madrid team. It's the only way for a path back into the CL this season.

Loool imagine using stats where the striker has had to basically play CM in every away game cos we’re so shit. Laca missing from the team shows up so much more than Auba but we need to stop picking one or the other and just enjoy having both. It’s the rest of them that are the problem.

If they are that poor, then why are Real M dangling 70mil for Auba?

I have a feeling that he is going to be main man under Arteta. He is a complete footballer compared to Auba.

We need his linkup play at offense, and we also need someone who can hold the ball there. Auba is just solely a scorer compared to him.

He needs to be sold in January.
He's not signed a new contract and he's only got 18 months left.
We can get £40m for him in January.

If Auba/Laca want to leave sell them. Seen far better players who did more for us leave over the years (Henry/Fabregas) and they’ve both been part of the club’s worst spell for 25 years. Decent players but won’t be missed too much

Exactly. Both should be dumped whilst we can still get decent money.

Someone asked name 10 players i'd sell.
Honestly taking favouritism out i'd look at the following to start with:
Auba (cos he wants to leave)
Xhaka (cos he wants to leave, he is poor anyways)
Luiz(Was a stop gap signing anyways)
Sokratis
Mustafi
Laca(Sell while stock is high)
Ozil (dont think he'll fit into the Arteta's way)

Replacements?
Jovic in a swap deal for Auba (rumour was 70m plus Jovic.)
Forsberg for Ozil
For everyone else.. god only knows.

I would try to keep both Auba and Lace or at least one of the two. Both knows where the post is, and it isn't easy to find goal scorers.
Both underperforming because of the current atmosphere, and especially Lace being marginalized/ underused unfairly.

I would keep Laca over Auba anytime. He is not only a younger but also a more complete footballer, fits better to our philosophy.

I want to keep Auba and Laca, selling a Golden boot winner is insane, however .....................

If they don't sign, they're not committing and won't, so sell.

All players do these days is try and run down their contracts leading you on then you realise when the contract only has 12 months that you have no leverage whatsoever and will lose them for free because the existing club is never going to match the wages of another club using transer money to cover the big wage as they're getting them for free.

Auba isn't likey to sign so if Real are offering £70m we'd be stupid not to recoup all the money we paid for him plus £10m, promote Lacazette and Martinelli and use that money to buy another striker / player.
