It’s bogus when you consider the players around Giroud. To name them Sanchez, peak Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla, Wilshere, Ramsey, Don Mikel. Bloody hell, how did we only win FA cups with this lot?

Because Ramsey left big holes in midfield all the time

Who Giroud played with does not explain why Auba's productivity has fallen through the floor.
Given Giroud improved his productivity to the time he left, who he played with also doesn't explain why he was able to get better and better in terms of mins per goal.

You're reaching again.
Think about where your argument takes you... one could use it to say that Henry got to play with a peak Bergkamp and Giroud didn't... so... it just becomes nonsense.

The bottom line is that Auba's and Giroud's productivity in terms of goals and assists for the time they were on the pitch is quite similar. That's the reality.

Looks like your dream lineup is shooting blanks against Fulham at the moment, Jay.

Lol, score every half of football or it's wrong.
You don't even recognise how entrenched you are.
Shalll we just get rid of ESR , Saka and Martinelli then?

Doesn’t sound good. He's right about the players needing rest but he also has to think about how he is using certain players. Laca picked up the injury after dropping deep to link up play and then rushing to get back into the box but pulled a hammy. Hopefully it's not that bad but when a player pulls up like that it never looks good.

Oh dear - hamstring.
Season over.
Martinelli or Nketiah as CF then.

Auba to the rescue.

Its going to have to be, we're done if Nketiah is playing up front and Martinelli isn't in enough form to lead a line.

Auba or Pepe are our only favourable options, best finishers in the team.

Auba has been a dreadful finisher this year.
He has no form at all.

Bit of a pickle.

Auba - poor all season and no form.
Nketiah - hardly played and can't be relied upon
Martinelli - Not sharp enough in front of goal yet
Pepe - can't handle CBs and also suspect in front of goal

It's not a great menu, unfortunately.

One of them is going to have to step up.

Results of fatigue. Players get injured.

Oh ffs. If it's a hammy, that's our season done. :(

Unless, of course, Auba steps up like in the FA Cup run last season.
