 I guess he broke eduardos leg and rendered him useless too right ?

Don't rate Lacazette as he plays in france, :X im v sceptical over Serie A, France and Holland tbh.

Its a different ball game over here. He is certainly not worth 20+ million anyway.

Especially Holland lol.

Vleminckx was a mid-table slash relegation zone level striker in Belgium, moved to NEC and became Eredivisie top scorer. Then came back to Belgium to play for Bruges where he flopped. Currently he's playing for mid table Turkish side Erciyesspor where he's inevitably struggling.

Another example is Alfreð Finnbogason, flopped at mid-table team Lokeren, moved to Holland and scored 50 goals in 60 games or so. Last summer he moved to a proper league and he's yet to score a league goal...

or Mateja Kežman, destroyed the Eridivisie by scoring 110 in 130 or so, sealed a big money move to Chelsea, flopped, moved to Atletico and floppped again

The Eredivisie is one of the most unbalanced leagues in the world when it comes to attack/defense, it's a league where defending isn't very respected/has little meaning.

It's sad because it used to be a very decent league not so long ago. A lot of world's best strikers and midfielders learned their trade over there.

Ligue 1 has improved slightly, Serie A has regressed massively.

Afobe and akpom? Seriously dude?

Vela is more of a winger

Rvp forced his way out after 8 years. Wenger fought that until the end

Eduardo was useless after his injury.

You're tripping over facts to try and hate on wenger

Anyone that has 21 league goals at this stage in a top league has to be respected, don't see how it can be written of just because it's the Lique 1. But unless we see him as an alternative to Alexis/Walcott I don't see why we'd go for him, even the best smaller forwards in the league usually have a partner to play off.

Compared to Zlatan who many claimed was the best player in the world (after Messi & Ronaldo). He finished the end of the campaign with 30 goals, I think this was 11/12. So 21 goals at this stage is something to be proud of.

No point in discussing this as a bigger club will be swooping him up. Don't get the hate for Ligue 1 here, as French teams concede fewer goals than La Liga sides, and people here ejaculate at the mere mention of La Liga attackers becoming available.

i keep seeing people say Eduardo was useless after injury...
that just isn't true.
Wenger changed from a 2 striker formation & Eduardo is NOT as lone striker.
he was pushed out wide lots of times for RVP & he was just not built for the wings.
his finishing was still top notch.

i honestly think if we stuck with 2 up front, we would have seen Eduardo of old come back.

Having watched Lyon seeing as their my 2nd team and Laca's been a revelation up top but it's far from an individual effort as Antony Lopes has been great in goal, Umtiti at centre back, Gonalons and Tolisso in the midfield and the wonderfully-named Fekir whether he's played at the top of the diamond or as Laca's strike partner.
