To be fair to Lacazette, he has yet to play a single match with our best creators on the pitch.

We know what Giroud can or cannot do.

We have still not been able to see that with Lacazette.

He is not going to take on two or three players by himself and score but I reckon he will get in great positions with his movement and will finish a number of good chances that are thrown his way.

And Welbeck

Welbeck missed the header again that could have won us the match.

Maybe if he had mis-connected with his shoulder again, he could have scored lol...

You act like headers are easy to score, even our greatest ever forward Henry and maybe the best ever to play BPL was rubbish at them.

Welbeck is one of the worst players of all time but that was a difficult header tbh

Nobody said anything, not sure if you noticed but Giroud was on for over 20mins.

btw, am not down on Laca cos he had a bad day.. but thought replacing him was a logical move.

giroud has his off days as well as we all know, and neither do i kill him...

always having Henry to think about is problematic

Wouldn't have taken him off. He was the only forward with off the ball movement. Giroud does too, but Laca is more mobile, pacy, and athletic.

I would have taken off Iwobi, who's slowly making a name for himself as the most useless Arsenal player not named Walcott.

Lacazette didn't have a good game yesterday. But he's a finisher. You wouldn't take your finisher off and keep the player whose best attributes are yet unknown even after getting a season of football under his belt.

Was ridiculous again. Our two completed crosses were with a midget as a striker (No offence to Lacazette). With Giroud on, we didn't even f***ing attempt to cross the ball

Giroud did nothing in his time

Plus he's been here 5 years - he deserves way less slack than a guy playing hardly even his 5th game for us.

Lacazette needs to start looking more dangerous and scoring goals. The other big signings from other teams are performing and scoring, but Lacazette currently looks average and a player who will score no more than 10-15 a season.

We have yet to play him with our two best creators on at the same time and he has not been starting every game, nor has he been playing full 90 minutes.

The other big signings for other clubs are playing with better quality on the team, regularly starting, and getting more consistent minutes.

Why so quick to judge?

That being said, I think Lacazette will always be held with Wenger's moronic tactics and player selections. Just listen to him in interviews. Even after paying 45m for Laca, he still thinks he has "six strikers" that are equally capable and he actually rates Welbeck higher than Laca based on early season team selection lol.

Lacazette started off well but needs to start every game like Salah, Lukaku and Morata are.

Conte plays Batshuayi in the LC and that's it. It's unfair to him but Morata has been better.

Wenger on the other hand will happily start Welbeck against Liverpool for team cohesion.
