To lose to a side we had beaten twice in the league and knocked out in the FA cup, it's extreme bottling at its best.

A shame they were broken up so soon after that though

The bottom line is it’s always harder to complete a task than start it
I still carry hope we can complete this one

Interested to know Starmandb I presume you are meaning next season barring a miracle this one.
But where do you think we need to strengthen

I acknowledge its going to take some luck as we will need other teams to do what we couldnt do; take points off of City.
But they have 3 games where I see potential for that slipup.

Everton away inbetween the Real Madrid tie and then Chelsea & Brighton right after Real Madrid.

I KNOW Chelsea is terrible this season but its still Chelsea.
Wembley:
Community Shield @6-8-'23 = 1*-1 Manchester City

Emirates Stadium:
First game @10-9-'11 = 1 - 0 Swansea
Most memorable game @24-2-'22 = 2 - 1 Wolves
Last game @17-08-'24 = 2 - 0 Wolves
Next game @23-11-'24 = v Nottingham

KdB and Haaland aren't even a "duo." And they've played together for less than a season!

You'll never see Gary Neville undermine United legends like this.

If you want to juggle around with random "duos," why not Mane and Salah; why not Drogba and Lampard?

Apart from Wrighty and Henry, Arsenal legends-turned-pundits are a special case.

I don't know ...... Keown went through a period when we had the Wenger troubles of being incapable of levelling any criticism at Wenger or the club.

And the comparison is silly. On pure numbers, fine, KDB and Haaland are phenomenal, but the quality of the goals, Henry and Bergkamp were on another level.

Losing leagues is fine as long as the fans can come and debate how many points we won and making comparisons with the Invincibles. It’s up there with Spurs releasing DVDs of seasons they won nothing. And then there’s the manager. We used to laugh at Spurs for praising Poch despite winning nothing. And now here we are. Bloody travesty.

Although the biggest difference between the invicibles and our 2022/23 team is power.

The invincibles had a lot of 6"foot + players not just in defence but midfield and attack. When things got tough we had more resilience to weather stroms of bad form and bully teams in attack on bad days.

Our current team has too many small lightwieght technical players in midfield and attack who cant bully opponents on bad days where we cant juat outclass our opponents.
.

Careful, you will be told that big/physical players are no longer needed in the Prem LOL

Thats where the title was lost!! Up until losing Saliba I am sure we had conceded the second fewest goals in the league, behind Newcastle.

Meh just trying to stay relevent.KDB and Haaland might be better this season if they get the trebble in terms of season by season comparison , but you can just stay quiet on the topic or just deflect the question a bit. That just proves how stupid ex players are generally.

P.S. Wasnt the Saliba injury that killed the season. It was the bottlejob mentality in the club and no experience in the spine of the team.

What bottlejob mentality ?? As Starmandb confirmed, we had the joint second best defensive record in the league when Saliba got injured, now our defending has gone to pot. It has nothing to do with being bottlejobs, it has everything to do with not having good enough defenders as backup
