Leno is current GK but his exploits have made the fanbase queasy. Weak in commanding his area and mediocre in distribution. Started as a good stopper but found wanting of late. Beaten at his near post on a few occasions. If we wish to improve next season, a replacement must be found...a braver and more confident keeper.

Exactly

He's been poor recently as well and he barely played in 10 years for us and that makes him world class for us apparently

Poor how? He had made amazing stops in the recent games I have seen. I can't answer why he didnt get starts at Arsenal before last season but he has been the second best keeper in the league this season.

So why did nobody better than villa come in for him?

Burnley, West Ham plus other games. Definitely not been as good as he was before Xmas.

He's had a great season overall but he's found his level.

Who knows, but you can't base your argument on that Mr Adams. Emi's stats prove he has been a top keeper since breaking into the first team AND we can all see it with our own eyes.

He has been a decent premier league keeper, not world class though. When I think world class I'm thinking seaman/lehmann levels. I wouldn't call szczesny world class either and he's first choice at Juve!

I wouldn't call Lehmann world class !! Shezza isn't world class to me, his distrubution has never been that great in my opinion. I agree Emi isn't world class, but if he can have another season at the level he has been at I would say he is knocking on the door of it.

Dude you are the master of sensationalism !!! Best keeper in the world in the mid 00s?? You are crackers.

The guy couldn't handle any kind of physicality, always brought drama when challenged. He was a good keeper, nothing more, not sure what you saw in him to make him best keeper in England let alone the best keeper in the world

An invincible and the CL clean sheet record behind a a defence that included eboue, senderos, toure and flamini. Wouldn't have swapped him for any other keeper. And he was German number one ousting Khan for the World Cup.
