Pires for me, the guy had so much skill he didn't need pace at all. He was the best left winger in the world in his peak.

Unlike Walcott. Although Walcott's stats last season were mightily impressive.

Overmars didnt know how to get the ball off the f***ing ground though, he could never do it! Theo is the far more accomplished finisher out of the two.

Absolutely loved Overmars, but for me, there is no choice.

Pires was a very special player, a once in a generation type imo and ill never forget the effect he could have on a game when he was at his peak. Its just a shame we didnt get him sooner.

^ I can vaguely understand people preferring Pires to Overmars, there is an argument to be had for both players, but Overmars was better than Theo is now in EVERY department!

Depends if you class taller as better :hiding:

Don't forget the taller you are the less technical you are

Nobody said it outright, but they often imply it, Wenger is the worst for it!!!

Before we signed Merts it was his argument for having Vermaelen and Koscielny when we were all asking for a Samba type CB.

In midfield when we all wanted a big powerful DM, Wenger argued that you need more technical players rather than purely CBs acting as midfielders.

He never said it outright but he implies it whenever criticised for signing too many wimpy CAM types.

1) SAMBA IS SHIT PG LOL

2) I need quotes

You can have big players that are technical but they are much rarer than smaller players

Seaman

Dixon Keown Adams Winterburn

Overmars Vieria Fabregas

Bergkamp

Wright Henry

Greatest all-time Arsenal line-up for me. (if real-life time was no barrier to them playing together)

No Pires there.......

In that formation Mars and Fabs would have the option to play on the wings or more towards the centre.

It really doesnt matter because Overmars was devestating all over the midfield, although he mostly used his pace on the wing.

You know that XI would f**k shit up to such an extent that Seaman's ponytail would fall off and the universe would implode.
