It will need to be a big big Summer and Berta really needs to start with a bang:

ST Sesko / Gyokeres
CF Delap or Watkins
Back up CAM / Viera?
Wing Kudus
CDM Zubimendi
CB Ndicka / Hato CB/LB
GK Garcia

Out >>

Jorginho
Zinchenko
Tierney
Tomiyasu
Trossard maybe

Really has to be the minimum as this team is so close to getting over the line we just need those last few top quality players!

Jesus replacement, as we can't carry another Diaby.
Partey replacement - if he leaves. If he accepts a new 1 year contract, keep him.
Anyone else who wants to leave, replace them. If they want to stay - good.

We don't need anything else...unless Odegaard this year is more than just 1 bad year.
I'd give him the first half of the season to get back on track next year.

I agree tbh but I wonder if Jesus would be worth keeping for 1 more year as a squad player to be more of a wide forward cover.

Sesko/Gyokeres, Havertz, Jesus wouldn't actually be bad depth.

Fixed that for you.

Would we need that many players if we got a new manager?

Striker is a definite for sure regardless of who's the manager. But the rest? Another manager might bring the best out of the current squad which Arteta can't do

I think we need two strikers, problem is Jesus and Havertz are on a lot of dough, it’s going for be hard to get rid of them.

With Edu gone, can't even do the Edu special. Pay them to leave.

We need 2 whether Havertz or Jesus stay or not. Neither are anywhere near the level wet need

Can't see much happening this window. Dark days these are

No - there comes a point where you can no longer just hope he'll stay fit.
If all we did was replace him and everyone else stayed, that would be ideal, but I suspect that a some players will move on and need replacing.

Lists of fantastic pretend gm moves...make my head spin.

Moves must be made. Curious to see what happens.

Why do the Saudis never want to pay stupid money to us for players like Jesus, Partey, zinchenko etc

The Saudi league isn't a free money tap to bail us out of our own dumb decisions. They mostly make smart signings, either young technically adept players or recognized superstars who are entering the end of their careers. None of our castoffs fit the bill.

That would be a classic Arteta move, classic !

I said from the start, I don't think the problem with Odegaard is form, I just think the way we are playing this season doesn't suit him. I do think his reluctance to shoot and preference to overplay IS his problem though.

Too many players have been poor this season for it to be down to being out of form, I think the tweak Arteta made has had a negative effect and he needs to go back to last season's system.

When you see manager's like Enrique able to entirely change a team's performances using the same players - Slot is another example, it goes to prove the power of choosing the right system for the players you have, proof if you needed it of the power a good manager/coach can have.

What use is there in having him as a squad player and he is only available for half the season - or less !! We are paying for him to be off sick !
