Arsenal' system is fine , that is the reason why we get close to the championship, even w/o seemingly iconic or top players. We've some very good players, but no Salah, KDB, Aguero, Rooney, Giggs, or Henry, Bergkamp.
If it ( our system ) weren't good ,we would be like ManU ,where even top players like Sanchez, DiMaria looks lost and Bruno Fernandes looks frustrated often; and they end up 6th-8th etc.

Nope, wrong again.

We got close the previous 2 seasons against a juggernaut of a team because we didn't play possession pass pass pass pass football. Don't compare this season to others, its a false narrative.

The system has changed and we have looked mediocre for the majority of the season. If you thunk this Liverpool can be compared to the Man City juggernaut we fought with you are mistaken !! Liverpool have been handing us chance after chance and we haven't taken them, the juggernaut City never gave us chances !!

Looool so there has been a 40% increase in player wages in the last 12 months according to an article on the BBC website, used as justification for a ticket price rise.

Let that sink into your heads, 40% increase in 12 months !!!! :rofll:

Who can we hope to buy when the club are continually making losses and with Arteta losing all control of the wage bill???

Would prefer to bring in Toney for that money than Mateta.

Would love to get Robinson !!

Toney is on stupid Saudi money so he’s not coming.

Gyokores, mateta and Robinson would be a good window though.

A better back up for saliba and Gabriel would be preferable but guess we could cope with kiwior and blanco as cover.

He would join us in a heartbeat. Decent wages, CL football, back in the England setup and to be back with friends and family in London?! No brainer.

£400k a week tax free in Saudi, we’d be stupid enough to pay him £200k of which he’ll see £100k after tax. Plus a £40m transfer most likely.

He’s not coming,

Haha yeah I know but he’s not gonna leave £400k for £100k regardless of how much we think that amount of money is.

There’s better options out there than toney, I think we need to wipe the idea of isak coming too. There’s a slight chance if Newcastle miss out on Europe but that’s it

I'm not against Matera.

I think if we really wanted Isaak we'd have got him first time around

I really like the idea of Sesko as our striker for the long haul. Young enough to break records for us.

I don't think sesko comes in scoring goals, what we don't need is to develop a striker,

Ffs does anyone see Arteta as the guy to develop a striker, he has killed enough

The first thing Arteta and Edu did was dismantle our scouting network letting world class scouts like Francis Cagigao go. They thought they’d just deal with agents and get deals done. But they got played by sharks like Kia Joorabchian. So they then started throwing silly money at established premier league names like Jesus and Havertz making a mockery of themselves there as well. Seriously the return for what we have spent is criminal.
