Selling isn't an issue. The question is why are we so averse to signing forwards? How many top clubs are this skeptical in signing forwards?

That's something I haven't understood, and can only speculate.

Even if you look at Pep, who's known to be a control-freak, he has managed Henry, Eto'o, Villa, Lewandowski, Aguero, and Haaland.

The only trophy the Kroenkes have won since becoming sole owners of the club was the one that Aubameyang starred in.

The club could sell for profit. But not investing in quality forwards is just baffling.

Don't forget Ibra. Sure, it didn't work, but the attempt was still made.

They have signed/ loaned forwards: Jesus, Trossard, Havertz, Sterling ; since Lacazette left.
Players like ESR, Nketiah, Nelson, had to be sold/ loaned out because after spending 4-5 yrs at the fringe of the first team , they were desperate for first team football and we couldn't guarantee them that; hence had to be sold or loaned.
For Balogun and Biereth it was decent money offered for unproven talent.
Whatever happens afterwards is Gnabry syndrome. Limited risk gamble. Sometimes work sometimes doesn't. For us ' grapes are sour'.

I would agree with that IF we replaced these players. We didn't though, so we just left a hole in the squad, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Well Nwaneri, Skelly, stepped in and maybe a couple more on the line from academy. You need to provide them space to grow.
Nobody expected mass injuries at the same time.
We had 7-8 players being overplayed, but still can't expect that 70% of them will be out overlapping each other. In any case , impossible to replace all of them, and so you suffer like others( ManCity, Pool and plenty others).

Most people expected mass injuries, thats why we kept crying to buy players, thats why Arteta commented that the squad was thin.

Everyone knew, it was just a matter of time !

How can you keep buying players when your squad limit is 25? You've to sell first to buy players, and besides, none of the 7-8 players were injured then, at the start of the season.
None had a crystal ball, nor was it ( buying) allowed by regulation.

You have a squad of 25, you need a squad of 25 you are prepared to start, arteta does not trust so many of his squad, let's not forget they apart from a few all Arteta signings.

What a sad list this is.

Kai Havertz and Trossard have contributed 60+ G+A for Arsenal in about season and two thirds between them. Still a failure??

Most of the squad has taken field this season at sometime or other. Injuries have forced that.
Of course not all 25 are at the same level that's why some are starters and others are backups.
Injuries to starters mean there will a drop in performance or will have to change the mode of the play to accommodate the strengths of the backups , and that means the regular flow will be hindered. Injury crisis causes problems to everyone... including all conquering ManCity and gung- ho Pool.

We have a drop off in multiple positions when there is an injury, reason is because Arteta will not play back ups he will rotate players out of position rather than starting some of his squad, he has brought our seasons dilemma on himself.the drop of is magnified because one injury at times require 3 to 4 players changing positions

And not a trophy in sight. For a combined 100 mil in transfer fees, that’s a poor return.

By that logic, nobody in the team is good enough.

Yep. Minus Saka and the two center backs, none of them look like they have a title in them.

That's a pretty insane thing to say about a team that was 1 point away from the title last season.
