If we were Within a few points of Liverpool I’d say there’s a chance of us signing a striker but as we’re not I don’t think there’ll be much activity.

We sacked our DoF, so I wouldn't expect ANY activity in Jan. Yes, it was a sacking. Nobody "agrees" to leave quarter of the way into a a season to sit on his arse for 6 months to take over recruitment at a lower-level club.

Actually Jason Ayto, who was the assistant Director of Football, has become the interim head.
He was the Chief Scout until 2021. James King is responsible for the contractual and legal aspects of the deals.
As per Google.

So we have a junior guy who got a battlefield promotion leading things. My point stands, we won't buy in January.

I'd like to see Arteta try and unsettle Liverpool

It's all loser mentality at the moment.

"Well try our very best and forget about the rest"

"We won the Charity Cup and here's hoping we'll win another one"

NOPE !!

As soon as the transfer window opens we leak to the press:

Two bids made -

1. £60m, £250k pw for Luis Diaz
2. £60m , £250k pw for Mac Allister

Hammer home how underpaid they are , how undervalued they are. Pose the question whether they'd be paid the going rate were they European players.

Tap up their agents. Push the players to force a move. Go on strike if needed.

If either deal materialises , we pull out at the final hour and publicly blame Liverpool.

Pure shithousery.

£250k per week for Luiz Dias, sound, not for MacAllister who I don't rate.

Not signing anyone would be a coward's move

Real tapping up Trent

Love to see it

Time for Mikel to open the playbook

Tap up Diaz and MacAllister , leak it to the press

Give Barca £100k for their struggles if they agree to publicly and aggressively tap up Szoboszlai

Mohammed Kudus for me. The jury is still out on whether Arteta knows how to use a striker effectively, whereas an LCM with an eye for goal would be a slam dunk for him.

Kudus is who he should have signed to replace Xhaka, instead of the financial albatross that is Havertz.
