Nwaneri, to be truthful, didn't play well today. He had about 35 mins to at least run at the opposition, but didn't do much. Maybe didn't have much assistance or, Everton really didn't leave any space for him to exploit. Though he is very good, but not a magician yet, so , against watertight defense couldn't find a way out . Odegaard should have done the job in early first half , when Everton were still feeling its way in.
Dyche has been monitoring Arsenal for a while, and on good days does come up tactics to hurt us.

Pogba would be a free transfer, others would need a transfer fee. Highly doubtful we have any budget left to spend in Jan, not that there are players of his quality available anyway.

Ode is a new father so his form is going to be unpredictable for who knows how long. We need an experienced reinforcement in that AM position more than we need another nice guy processball plumber like Merino.

we'd need to switch to a 4 man midfield for that, no way Arteta sacrifices defensive stability to augment the attack. That would mean playing a 442 (unlikely) or a 4141.

Not really. Just have whoever plays LB tuck into midfield when out of possession. The way he used Zinchenko but with someone better like Califiori or Kiwior.

Why should we bring in a proven failure, like Pogba? He's was at ManU for 5-6 yrs and did stink up the place pretty well. Poor work rate , not taking responsibility, not even top quality when playing in PL. A completely mindless thought of bringing in a has been who wasn't good enough even at his prime.
If Odegaard needs rotation, we have Nwaneri. Believe in him, give him 30-40 mins regularly, an odd start here and there and also try to work with the experienced midfields we already have. Focus on their work rate in training, and they are likely to improve.
We've drawn some games, probably going to be the norm for all teams in PL this season, so, prod on with it. Still alive in all competitions. Roll with the punches.

I think some of you either forgot or don't realise how good a CM Pogba is. The guy is fantastic. His range of passing is magnificent, he can bring the ball out too.

Imagine A midfield of Rice, Pogba and Odegaard !! Blood fire !!

Its a risk I would take because as it stands our midfield is not doing anything offensively. Odegaard is fantastic, but is he creating?? I want him to be great and create, we need the midfield to help the strikers. Pogba has the right skillset for what we need.

Not letting you away with this,
Arteta said he wouldn't play/start Nwaneri because he wanted to protect him, this was at a time when his confidence was sky high and he was ticking.
Now let's process today a day when we were poor, a day when he changed half the side in subs bringing on Partey (out of possition) Jesus who let's face it s two years in credit of pay he should never had have, Trossard who can't buy form atm, and Jorgy,
Mate if you let Micro Arteta away with that you may want to come out of his ass for a breather

Makes sense 115 FfP charges and they get pogba, rumors we couldn't get a striker for Arteta spending like a virgin in a knock shop, we couldn't even get Harry Potters wand much less Harry Potter

Because not all of us live in a world of "let's just wait till next season and see what happens". A player like Pogba is available. A Kudus or Guimares is not. That's Arteta's ceiling in terms of players he can attract.

Was about to say the same !!

So we are definitely on the right path for suggesting we get Pogba in the first place.

We need 2 players minimum.

1 striker, even a backup, we need a archetype killer number 9, even if he is a plan B.

1 midfielder attack minded, again even if a squad player, someone to help create things and fill in a few roles as all our creativity is reliant on Odegaard.

Pogba hasn't played in 2 and half years, and is available from March '25 when his suspension ends, and we would still put our future hopes on a proven failure at another club ( for over 5-6 yrs)!!!
Fantastic idea!! Might as well call up Cazorla from retirement!

We'd be further ahead this season if we weren't holding up our nose at Toney and the like, while praising our strikers for doing everything besides scoring.

Pogba is the same IMO, a player in a position we need NOW. Not another 5 yard passer like Merino, or a spindly bottle job like Viera.

Rockape forget what he did and didnt do at Man U who were utterly shit, he is a quality midfielder who has the skills we are lacking currently.
