Arteta is a professional manager and knows if results aren't there he would be sacked. So , don't understand why he would be shooting himself on his foot by not bringing in players he needs to win games and remain competitive?
He buys multiple purpose players ( some of them defensive) because he thinks they would help him tackle the opposition in his own unique way. So far , it has been working, since he has brought the team from 8th to 5th to 2nd and 2nd and sitting 2nd mid season 2025.
His approach might not jive with your limited understanding of football, but he's delivering his goods as per requirements of his superiors.
He's answerable to the Ks and they have set a goal. If he satisfies those, his job's done. If he believes he can win trophies by bringing in players that suits his purpose, he'll do so.
I think, the mgmt 's initial goal is to consistently challenge for the PL( our bread and butter), so, they are going all out to focus on it. Next probably deep CL runs, which makes you financially solvent, and after that comes Cup competitions.
Nobody wants to lose Cup games, but they are always a major gamble, whereas the league ( like a marathon) can be planned better for success.
No point in crying a bucket mid season, for some wobbles. All of your wishes will be realized in May( either Arteta gets the boot or we win trophies,or lose by a whisker). Then the Doomers can file to the Emirates , chant ' Arteta Out' and have a proper slugfest with the Arteta Ins. Eventually, get solidly kicked by the Bobby, for disturbing peace, unnecessarily.

Same shit said last season. Wait till the end of the season crap

We did 2 years ago. What did we win?
We did last year. What did we win?

Already out of the cups this season barring a miracle. No chance of CL trophy. Little hope of league.

Experience suggests we will fall again. Living in fantasy Arteta can do no wrong land suggests people are idiots

So what's the KS knowledge of football, if everyone other as you have written Is limited, they have an extensive knowledge of bussiness, some people you are saying have no knowledge of football may have more than you know, some may well have applied for the very job that Emery and Arteta got..... you never know!!!

Who's is other than you? Only the selected 4 ( fab 4) on this forum keep moaning on a daily basis, over the same issues.
Whole bunch of other pragmatic members have different things to say and discuss.
Actually, quite a few decent members have left because the toxic environment a few of you've created, we win or lose.

If the same thing happens, the same things will be criticised. We don't make things up. We leave that to you guys

Vlahovic loan with option to buy
Semeyo loan with obligation to buy

Then in the summer get a ST permanently and Zubimendi and another winger

Yeah, that's ridiculous.

All we need is to keep most of the squad and add a LW and most importantly a striker.

.....added to the Zubimendi deal.

£300m seems excessive:

Sesko - £55m buy out clause
Zubi - £50m buy out clause
Raphinha - £50m (rumoured he could be sacrificed in the summer , Barca would want to recoup £50m paid 2 years ago)

Those are the 3 core areas

Gittens will leave for sub-£50m imo , and Semeyo even less

Worth remembering how many players we will clear off the books this summer.

Partey - £10m per year
Jorginho - £7.5m per year
Sterling - £7.5m per year
Zinchenko - £7.5m per year
Ramdale - £6m per year
Tierney - £5m per year
Nelson - £5m per year

And then you have the likes of Sambi , Vieria , Tavares , Kiwior , Tomiyasu who will all very likely be sold for a transfer fee
