He has been playing well lately, though.

In a league that offers space, and the only time he ever performed for Arsenal was in games against opposition that gave space. Which is rare in the EPL

He can only play in Saka and Odegard’s positions. Was it inconceivable to the great one and his fanboys that two players could get injured at the same time?

Had nothing to do with his not being good enough or as many including myself too lite-weight.
He would have been better being loaned to a PL team ( but no one wanted him) or imo a championship team to learn the dynamic and physicality of English football.
Imo he will be no different when he comes back

Absolutely this. Its a totally pointless loan that doesn't benefit us in the slightest.

I had a dream last night, vivid as hell, we had played 21 games and just come through a hard game and won by playing scintillating football. I was so impressed by the performance that I declared we would win all of our remaining games and overhaul Liverpool.

Then I woke up and checked the table, we have played 27 games. Was the dream good omens?!

We're still second, better than city. It's not god enough, but not horrendous either.

It's the 'what ifs' from the last two transfer windows that really frustrate.

Absolute crap. We let a shit man u look good.

Same old story, pass pass pass, no real end product. Even Neville said that with a top striker, we'd have battered United. We gave them the impetus to look somewhat respectable.

This manager is lost and there is only so much.

If he wins the CL, then he is a legend managerially for us.

If he doesn't, he has to go. it's as simple as that.

He'd get another job, and possibly at a big club in Spain or PSG, since he's shown he can mix it somewhat as he's not even 45 yet so he's a young manager still. But then for Arsenal, he's surely had his time.

Second when we won't win the league. e haven't won the league in over twenty years. City has players and a manager that recently won a CL, we never have. City has a. better chance of winning a trophy this season (FA Cup), then we do (CL).
If City finish fifth and win the FA Cup, and we finish second and win nothing, they would have had a better season.

Saying "but we're still second" is paltry.

Can we "banter" Man City if they're challenging for the league next season, and we're just ambling along in second place or lower?

Three times 2nd isn't exciting at all. But more disturbing is the way we capitulate against seemingly poorer teams , exactly when it is required to get the job over them done, and remain focused on the target steadily.
In this manner we'll never secure any of our targets, if we can't get the little jobs out of the way.
ManU , West Ham Everton aren't difficult teams by any means , and a team competing for the title, should have figured out plans to overcome these small hurdles, at the outset. It is not like, we'll figure out these mediocre teams on field, and only prepare for big guns in advance.
Plan should be to pick up max pts from the small/ mediocre teams first and routinely, w/o any fuss, and have special plans to deal w/ top teams. Only then we can win Championships, and that's where we are failing time and again.
If Arteta can't get these little jobs done routinely, under all circumstances, he isn't the man who can win anything major for us.
By the way, the current team in spite of all injuries,is capable of beating these teams every day.

Finally, PSG got one over Pool. Pool's wings are finally clipped; been having the time of their lives!

Rather have pool go through and deep into the comp, if we can fluke our way through the next round pool would be a good target with competition congestion being a factor, but hey they are gone, we have no striker roll on Madrid.
If Arteta can't get through the next game even with a B side we really are f***ked as a club, rest the spine of the team play a different forward ffs test something out, and if we go 3-0 down make some changes

Yes, probably 30/70 against RealM now, but, if everyone were in, we had a better chance against them in many years. Not that great of a team.
Regarding Pool, think, they have been Lucky and lucky!! Not that good of a team either.
We're pretty much done this season.
