Still remain competitive on all four fronts. All w/ possibilities.
Seems like a long slog through mud all season, w/ all others in indifferent form. ManCity, Chelsea already reigned in, only Pool left, but beginning to show cracks in the armour!

We've spoke about this

The excuse last season was we have one of the smallest squads

We are "short numbers wise"

We are lacking the magic in the final third

So what happens ?

1. We have an even smaller squad this season
2. We swap Nelson for Sterling

Only ourselves to blame

Has anyone noticed , how the energy has totally changed at the Emirates (especially for those that go to games) ?

Do you remember how behind the team the fans were ? We would go a goal down and the whole stadium would erupt.

Seems a lot of the positivity has slowly drained away. My thoughts are:

> Alienation of the Ashburton army, because too much noise and standing up Is a disruption.

> We prioritised new fans and tourists over long term supporters with the new ticketing nonsense

> We've become too rigid in our system and ultimately our games are often really boring. Hard for the fans to get excited.

Thats why you are supposed to rotate. Thats why you are supposed to have strength in depth.

The energy towards the end of last season was huge. The AA do their thing, nobody stops them

The atmosphere has rapidly eroded this season because I think fans can see the writing on the wall. Not everyone’s willing to say it out loud but everyone can see it.

Nine points behind Liverpool. Following which there are eight teams who are just ten points apart. Given this is the first week of Jan, we are heading for a top four fight.

This, and especially the last one. I literally have more fun watching forest or Bournemouth or even Ipswich more than us. We are easily the least entertaining and energetic team in the league. I mean did you see the absolute edge of your seat battles between Chelsea-Brentford and Liverpool-Utd? That’s how football should be! We play like we are trying to look cool and nonchalant in front of cameras at training or during a warm-up

To be honest I don't see any other scenario. Can we say we are better than the teams around us??

Ashburton army had their allocation halved and completely removed for some of the cup games this year. It's why you've seen some of them sitting on the half way line during cup games where tickets are much easier to get.

Julie Slott launched a vendetta against them with her drive towards making Arsenal more family friendly , empowering stewards to remove fans that are overly noisy or regularly stand up.

Don't even get me started on the new ticketing raffle

Even Arteta has been reigned in this season

Arteta's main selling point was uniting the club and getting the love back from the fans

Atmosphere in and outside of games has a huge impact imo

The club had to move them for the cup games. There was no alternative really. I’m being moved for the FA cup as well. It’s just how cup football works.

I like the passion from them, but those guys do like a hill to die on and sometimes it feels like they think they’re the only “real” fans. And btw the drum is pretty cringe. If they’re all about Arsenal tradition and giving it some welly, great, fkin go for it. But Arsenal has never had a drum, it’s not part of our culture and you don’t need a drum to create an atmosphere.

A practical solution to a lot of issues would be to simply make the whole of the clock lower and north lower safe standing.

He's been rightfully reined in, his insane spending has been partly financed by hollowing out the entire academy, leaving us with a bench of unsellable deadwood.

Willock, Balogun, ESR, Nketiah, these sales brought in £100m.

Many of the new generation were let go for free or close to free: Hutchinson, Biereth, Onkywo, Chido Obi Martin, because none of them felt they had a path into thr firdt team.

Meanwhile, we aren't getting a cent for the players he brought in: Viera, Lokonga, Kiwior, Jesus, Kai, we will be stuck with them till their contracts expire.

Exactly. I don’t think we are realising how dark the next few years might get
