I think Arteta was joking when he said we needed 114 pts.
We have 105 more to play for.

I am reading on GW that it’s already over though

Spurs away and City away after the international break, with Atalanta away midweek.

It's not ideal.

I think it is a good test early part of the season. These will toughen up the squad for the long road ahead.
It is also better to absorb shocks( if any!) and learn earlier than late in the show.

Always going to be tough against City

And we simply can't afford to make those kind of mistakes

Need to get 4 points from the next 2 games minimum

Dropping points now or later is still dropping points, I don't think there is a good time personally.

I don't fancy our chances of winning the Premier League or the Champions League this season. Despite the pressing need to add quality and depth in the summer, we have failed on both fronts. Not only is the squad not significantly stronger than last season, but it is also even thinner than before. Add in the mix the fact that our key players have been overplayed over the last two to three seasons, and the already steep odds keep getting steeper. Our best bet for silverware is the FA Cup or the League Cup, both of which require some prioritisation or/and luck of the draw.

Spurs, Atalanta and City all away in the next two weeks. Our first real test of the new season.

Havertz
Gabi - Ode - Saka
Rice - Partey
Zinc - Maga - Saliba - White
Raka

VS.

RVP
Nasri - Rosicky - Theo
Cesc - Song
Clichy - Per - Kos - Sagna
Almunia

Who wins? I say the current team edges it. The latter were more talented but never fit enough to play together.

Mertesacker never played with Clichy, Nasri, and Fàbregas.

That is true. Replace him with Vermaelan then.
