Definitely should have started. Either him or Nwaneri .
Zubi should play no 8 not no, especially against top teams. We would be in trouble otherwise.

Eze left inside forward, Cala outside left wingback, Nwaneri CAM. This should be the default. We should not be playing 3 physically staunch but creatively devoid players in a 3 man midfield ffs.

Can’t remember the last time we scored a goal over the top like that from open play in the Prem.

The ball was delicious. Those are the sort of balls Gyokeres needs.

eze's probably earned himself a spell on the bench for doing that instead of sideways passing outside their 18yd box

Watched Curtis Shaw ( you tuber) he said and I agree Arteta will not start Nwaneri or Eze in the Ode possition in case it makes Arteta selection of Ode look bad his favoritism of his captain is such.
Mad statement but imo when Ode was injured last season Nwaneri was playing great football and got dropped for Ode who was crap, f***ked Nwaneri confidence and then moved him out of possition. In between that he spotted some shit about being young and wanting to protect him to only bring him into a possition he doesn't play.
Imo with the squad we have a great squad full ballers the wheels are going to fly off Arteta is not going to be able to manage it imo

Arteta is the soul destroyer of creativity.

Lazy today. Quite disappointing. Seems relieved to get rid of the ball quickly.

He's my favorite player over the last 5 uears or so. Im biased when i speak about him but yeaterday does show something many miss, especially those who dont like Odegaards robot like, methodical playmaking compared to Eze magic.

Odegaard is a true orchestrative playmaker whos the very best when it comes to midfield buildup in any area. A proper CM/AM

Eze is a final 3rd style hole player who looks to make things happen 30 ayrds from goal with a ambitious pass, trick, shot etc.. he dosent have any of that awareness in his game to build from deap like Odegaard, i mean Ethan is more suited to Odegaards style.

Eze was very poor yesterday which is all his own fault, however stylistically hes not going to do some of the things to dominate a game like Odegaard does, they are very different players. Eze i believe will still be most effective in Trossards position when given a bit of a free role to try ambitious things rather that the need to help in buildup all over the pitch in midfield.
