I really don't understand what role OX plays in out setup. He's technically not good enough to start on our right flank or in central midfield in a 4231. The best he can do is what he did this past weekend where he had Ozil's creativity ahead of him and Gabriel's defensive capabilities behind him. Unless we are planning on permanently reverting to a 343, which I seriously doubt, and playing him as a wingback, he serves no purpose. 100k a week is a complete joke.

Seems alot of you have haven't realized that Wenger and the coaching staff has not made as much as an effort with the OX as they have with Ozil when he joined....the OX is only 23 so he's like meh I have time with him....you can bet your ass if they spent as much one on one time with ox as they do with Ozil, the failing Ramsey, Theo even f***ing coquelin he would definitely be a world beater.

Ozil was 22 when he went to Real Madrid, which means he was already a fantastic player for Germany and Werder Bremen. Ox has been with us for 6 years and he is still mediocre at best. Why didn't Ox develop when Ozil was NOT at Arsenal if your comment is correct ???

And in any case, half the time Wenger cited "not preventing the development of his young players" as the reason he didn't buy established already developed players, so Ox has had every opportunity to develop and has not.

Never been to the training ground as some of you obviously have... sounds pretty unwise to only focus on a few players.
Ox has progressed well. Most of all looks more confident. Locking a skilled English player for 5 seasons looks like a good investment more than anything. 100k pw will be nothing in 3 years anyway, when we could potentially sell him. Good move I say.

Definitely concerned about only training the players you mentioned and ignoring the Ox though.
