Apparently we're paying £3m in the hope Sau Paolo will give us favourable treatment in the future.

If we waited until July we could get him on a free.

Not sure about that

We’ve had bad experiences with Brazilian teenagers on loan in Spain. Hope he comes to England instead.

Edu: how much for that kid ?
Agent: He's out of contract in 8 weeks ...
Edu: £1m
Agent: If you just wait 8 weeks he will be free ...
Edu: Ok fine, £3m but you have to let us sign your best players in the future
Club: We will sell them to the highest bidder ...
Edu: Has any club offered more than £3m ?
Club: ... £3m it is

Wellington silva comps looked more exciting this, not that I’m saying he’s going to be a flop.

Why are we even considering this guy? He’s about the same age and plays the same position as Hutchinson who looks considerably better. Why are we wasting money and time buying players from outside when we have the same potential internally available?

3 years in and he hasn't given a single academy player a proper league debut.

Maybe Mertesacker should have a word.

A Brazilian with no flair?

That’s odd because that’s one of the plus points of signing a Brazilian they’re exciting to watch and unpredictable.

Latest news is that we're now in a legal battle because Wolves already had a signed pre-contract agreement with Marquinhos

I mean there were a few little flicks and backheels but he looks like a fifa virtual pro who just worked on his shooting stats and nothing else. Bit awkward on the ball.
