Might as well go ahead and buy the players you want, these sales won't make a financial impact honestly.

Tell that to Kroenke.

They obviously have a book to keep and its his money.

Look what we did to him with Pepe :rofll: £75m down the crapper.

Nelson cost us nothing anyway, same with AMN, how stupid does Arteta look now for not allowing AMN to be sold for nigh £30m when Everton came knocking (it was Everton right?).

That was a royal fk up and we all called it at the time, his stock was high and we all knew it would drop again.

AMN is a lesson in how to ruin a career, at full back shown he can be a get caps as England International, but wanted to be a guy who does not even get games in the championship as a midfielder, and that’s exactly what he is.. What a waste. If AMN had a single brain cell in his head, he’ll have shut up, accept that he’s a Best as a full back and not a Midfielder, at this level and have an actual career. Nobody sees him as a top midfielder except for himself. He could be a decent back up full back for us .

He had every opportunity to become our full time RB and work his way into the England squad consistently. Threw it away to play CM for West Brom. Honestly some of the most embarrassing self sabotage I've seen in pro football for awhile.

Absolutely agree with both.

At least Theo always pressing to be a forward, he could still execute scoring from the wing and did so and got on with it.

AMN's fall from an England cap to West Brom reject is embarrassing.

Wenger, Emery and Arteta all told him Fullback was a better option for him ......... but he didn't want to accept it, his parents should of clipped him round the ear because he's finally fked it now.

He's at a complete loose end after Roma, to think Everton or whoever it was, was willing to pay £30m just a few seasons ago ......... now the guy can't find a club at all.

Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho AGREED on one thing philosophically in football: Ainsley Maitland Niles should be a fullback and not a midfielder.

As it stands, I feel we're short in at 6 and 8 in terms of quality. Then there's the elephant in the room, which we can't really discuss that could have a negative impact on our options in those positions. I just hope the club has done its due diligence and has a strategy in place for that scenario.

Considering the elephant’s age as well, getting a talented young 6 should be a priority imo. Sambi looks like he can be a promising 8 but we need another body once Xhaka and Elneny and AMN are gone.

That's the problem for a lot of people to be honest. Not everyone has parents to give them good advice.

If we don't sign a winger I feel like we're making the exact same mistake we made in January.

We have Europe this season and hopefully will go further in the domestic cups too. Can't rely on Saka and Martinelli for every game.

Nelson and ESR - both very injury prone players - are a drop off in quality imo.

3 days to go and not a sniff of another transfer. Even the tabloid rumours have gone stone dead.

I think we need to accept that Arteta has settled for this squad until January.

Whilst this hasn't been as bad as last summer's travesty, world class cm and striker still missing

Our best incoming player has been someone we've had on the books for years in Saliba.

Eddie and xhaka still getting game time instills no one with confidence

Fabio Vieira hasn't been seen since he signed.

Jesus has scored in one game and limited threat in others. Like other parts of his play but we need goals more than anything

Like the look of Zinchenko so far.

Few key injuries away from ruining the season again.
