Guide For Newer Members

Welcome To GoonersWorld

Welcome to GoonersWorld, the premium forum for all things Arsenal. Here are a few basics about the site which will hopefully make your visit more enjoyable.

Pictures within your posts

The ones at the side of your post are known as avatars, and those at the bottom of your post are known as signatures.

Status

You will obtain your first name at 1 post. Thereafter, 10, 150, 300, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 and 6000. However, blatant spamming is seriously frowned upon not only here, but every forum you wish to visit. Spamming constitutes worthless threads or pointless posts and the like. If you have any doubts about what or where to post, contact a moderator, they will be more than happy to help.

Non-Arsenal Supporters

As with anyone, they are more than welcome here, it's always good to see a different viewpoint, or how things look without Arsenal-tinted glasses on! However, if you are here to wind people up, you will be removed. Banter is fine, winding up is not.

Say Hello!

Well, you have come this far, so why not say hello, introduce yourself and tell us a bit about yourself. The introduction area is available by clicking here

Post English!!

Not all of us understand text-talk, and slang, so try to keep your posts as easy to read as possible. We all make mistakes with both spelling and grammar, and that's overlooked, but blatant use of "m8" and so on are frowned upon, so please don't!!

Before Creating A New Thread

Does the topic already exist? There is a search facility at the very top of the forum, just enter your keywords, and it'll tell you whether is already exists. No harm is having a quick scan down the relevant area to double check though.

Flaming

Flaming is basically abusing members either on the forum or via PM. It is not tolerated and will result in your removal from the site. We do operate a warning system, whereby one offence will generally get you a ticking off, but further offences will trigger warnings to a maximum of three.

Report Post Button

You will see this beside every single post. Should you feel the post is offensive, or in the wrong area, press the button, and add a comment. All moderators will be notified, and action can be taken.

Moderators

These are the people chosen by the site owner to take care of the day to day running of the site. They have powers to edit your post, move it, merge it with another thread, and also to issue warnings and bannings. However, these people are your friends. They will happily assist you on your way, and ultimately make your visit here as enjoyable as possible. Current Moderators can be seen HERE Use the PM symbol under their posts to contact them. It's worth mentioning that we can see your IP address, and we can tell if you have a duplicate account, which although isn't banned, isn't really greeted with open arms either.

Support

The site is run by Trina. Any donation to help the upkeep of the site is gratefully received, how ever small. There is a "donate" button at the top of the main board should you wish to help.

Finally

Enjoy yourself here!! It's not rules, rules, rules!! This is just a general guideline to help you on your way. This is a fun place to be, and there is nothing else quite like it on the interweb, Arsenal related. Remember, nobody is a stranger here, just a friend we haven't yet met.

Say hello, and don't be afraid to ask questions!!
