Ramsey and Wilshere on short loans? Any takers? Why not if they are fit and available.

Arsenal are in advanced negotiations with Juventus to sign Arthur Melo on loan. [

Depressing more than desperate. 4 days till the Spurs game. Any player coming in is not going to be ready.
Can you imagine if Lakonga gets covid!
Even if he doesn't; it's unlikely that Xhaka will be back, so we're going to be woefully short in that game. Away to Spurs is not a game where our midfield can get over run.

I never understood why we signed Lokonga when we had plenty of talented kids in the academy but only two senior midfielders of which one is a clown. Same logic with strikers. We made clear to Laca and Nketiah they were not needed and then fell out with the only senior striker. Oh well.

Perhaps the club is exploring such options. We don’t know yet. Or maybe they are looking at loan deals like Wijnaldum. Which would be a decent stop gap solution.
The point I don’t get is with regards to Auba. We are certainly not going to get a top center forward in January. We rejected the chance to give Laca and Nketiah long term deals. So why did we alienate our one senior striker with a long term deal? Is it more important to make a point to the squad about tardiness or is it more important to have options till the end of the season? If Arteta had enough of Auba could he not have waited till the summer to boot him out?
