I am starting to get mightily pissed off that we could be going into the NLD short. We’re not giving ourselves the very best chance of finishing 4th or higher.
Concerned we’re going to fail to take advantage of the progress we’ve made.

Striker and CM can not be delayed.

Liverpool and Spurs within just a few days of each other and our midfield is going to be (at best) Xhaka-Lokonga. That is unacceptable.

We should have had the deal for a midfielder signed off and ready to go on jan 1st. Nearly two weeks into the window and we don't seem any closer to a signing.

I think both on Jan 1st.
I just don't get why the club had not sorted out the detail before the window - especially knowing that the ACON is coming up and we have so many strikers who look like they are headed into their last 6 months. I can't see any of our strikers being sufficiently motivated if they have already signed pre deal with other clubs.

Evidently we are willing to spend up to 150 mil in fee, salary and other payments to land Vlahovic. Seems desperate. It’s not like he’s prime Ronaldo. Agents seeing us coming from a mile away.

Evidently? Or reportedly?
Surely the latter.
I can tell you now we will not pay £150m for him. No way , no how.
At least I bloody hope not!

70 mil fee
200k per week X 52 weeks = 10 mil X 5 year deal = 50 mil
Agents commission 15% of transfer value = 10 mil
Other commissions and bonus = 20 mil

Total = 150 mil

That’s from the Daily Mail report, right?
Didn’t see any quotes or references, just a rumour.
Seriously doubt there is any truth to it.
I guess we’ll find out.

The rumor is the 150 mil. The breakdown is my logic of how you’d get to such a number. Either ways it’s all speculation until he signs.

Wouldn't be comfortable giving him £200k a week - he's proven nothing at the top level.

How much are Saka and ESR on - should be round about the same amount.

Well that rumour is a little sensationalist. Auba's cost by the end of his contact will be something like £180m
I think Laca is close to £150m too.
Jack Grealish is probably over £200m

We lack depth in our squad, I'm surprised we haven't brought someone in yet!
