At the end of the season, his fanboys will have their excuses ready.
That’s a new one. Well done on the originality.
Thank you. Truly a compliment coming from the man that gave us "We're Top 4 if you count our results from Boxing Day 2020"

Fair comment. I guess they are thinking longer term rather than trying for quick fixes. A league or CL in five years time would be better than a league cup now.RowdyRoddyPoppins wrote:Arsenal Tone wrote:Feels likey they've already written the season off. If they dont care, why should we?

No improvement in those 2 years is damning

I'd say the improvements in the summer were massive. Two signings and we could really have a top starting XI.Ach wrote:He's been in the job for over 2 years. How much longer is long term?

Martinelli/ESR---Odegaard---Saka
???---Partey
Tierney-Gabriel-White-Tomiyasu
Ramsdale
Then we just need to sort the squad players and we've already been linked to a goalkeeper and some back up right backs.
If you can't see the progress from last season to this then it is because you don't want to!

Progress is measured by the league table and silverware.
By that measure, we've largely stagnated. FA Cup got us into Europe. Now, the best we have is a fading shot at 4th.
By other measures, e.g. financial, we've gone wayy backwards. A £200k pw CM who is worse than Xhaka. A £350k pw striker who won us the cup is exiled , while minutes are given to 2 strikers who are leaving in the summer.
Considering the war chest he's been granted, the results are glaringly average.
