Probably wants another 250 million. He’s the new Pep without any management ability at all!

Spend spend spend and hopefully he’ll get lucky, zero skill in it.

Lol

Of course he will

Everton scouted Demerai Gray and brought him in for under £2m.

Arteta will go for a player costing £30m + and leave him on the bench to play Nketiah and Laca.

After spending £150m in the summer, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be investing more in the January transfer window. (Express)

Will we spend early?

Will we spend on what we need?

I'd love us to bring a striker in during Jan. I feel that could be the difference between top 4 and top 6...

Don't expect it though.

Give Dortmund Auba on loan, wages covered, a £20m loan fee for Haaland + a conditional £30m bonus if we qualify for CL !

Tend to agree… the way it is looking we now have a brilliant run at top 6. Top 4 is still a 50/50 imo. That would be incredible. I would like to see the club go for it.

I think a loan with an option purchase a top striker might be possible… gives them an out if we’re don’t make the CL.

If this club is serious about top 4 then getting a CF now and not waiting till summer when it could be too late is vital.

The state of our CF's could change dramatically come the last quarter of the season because we have Nketiah and Laca our only true CF's both heading for the exit, their form could drop when they seal a new deal, injury, anything.

If we improve on what we're doing already with a quality CF who can play that lone target man role as well as having Laca we will be fit and ready to fight for 4th.

Has to have a great all round game, with an emphisis on poaching and being good in the air, our forwards are terrible in the air in front of goal.

No more CMs. Start Charlie “The Nerd” Patino instead.

Charlie will be too light for a regular grind at this stage. His time will come in 3 yrs. Let him develop in good time.
Get a quality CM, maybe from La Madrid or Barca. They are putting up fire sale in Jan.

Who's that expensive Teta-signing that's rotting on Arsenal's bench? :dontknow:

All of our manager's most expensive signings are very much first team regulars—by merit.

Arteta's 6 most expensive signings:

Ben White; £52m; first team regular
Thomas Partey; £45m; first team regular
Martin Ødegaard, ;£31m; first team regular
Aaron Ramsdale, £25m, first team regular
Gabriel Magalhães: £23m; first team regular
Takehiro Tomiyasu; £16m; first team fregular

Sure, Arteta can (or should) do a better job in protecting the market value of certain players, but it's dishonest to suggest he has a track record of tanking the value of his own marquee signings.

Modric
Kroos
Casemiro
Valverde
Camavinga

All off limits.

Then there's Isco and Ceballos. We've all seen Ceballos here, and Isco isn't the same Isco as during the three-peat or at Malaga.

That leaves Blanco and Arribas. Both are still primarily in Castilla and have huge potential, but are no where near ready to start at a big club.
