Sack him like the clown he is and get a decent manager, unless of course, you are happy being mid-table cannon fodder.

I won't be sold until I see a consistent style of play.

The same way Klopp's pressure 4-3-3 using the FB's to aggressively overlap, or Wenger's possession tika taka, Barca etc.

We looked against Spurs to be employing a slightly more defensive version of Wenger ball ......... I'm fine with that, the offense might not be quite as good but we're not as much of a soft touch in the middle, we also have a superior striker in Auba compared to Giroud so it can work ..........

Arteta just needs to hone it now, we cut Spurs open a few times with the sort of penetrative passing we used to see in the good old days .......... I don't want to see us revert to shite football against Brighton or the next games up to Xmas.

Good systems = Good performances = Good form = majority wins = lots of league points.

We're still at the first two, if they're not consistent we won't progress down that line, all eyes on theBrighton game.

things were looking pretty bleak... one good performance doesn;t erase ALL doubt. some, not all.
like DG said...show some consistency.

We've been on a good run for months on end.
Sure we had a blip because of injuries and covid but since late last year we've won more points than nearly every other team in the PL.
Arteta just needs to continue what he is doing.

Like people have said, it’s doesn’t mean anything.

Winning games in low pressure and meaningless times is easier. When the going has got tough we’ve lost for much of that, so this cherry picking of a specific time period is not indicative of anything.

PL games from Christmas last year - none have been meaningless.
Our form since then has been fine and we just need to continue on the path we're on. Keep the improvements going and we've a great chance of getting top 6 and being close enough to top 4 to give this very promising team Arteta has assembled a good platform.
As it stands right now we're just 3 points off the top 6 and 5 points off the top of the table - with 32 games left. Like I told you 3 weeks ago, absolutely no reason to get overly concerned with blips in form unless they run on for a couple of months or more.

We should be knocking on the door of 4th come the end of the season given we don't have a squad playing in Europe. Things will get interesting after Christmas.
Invincibility lies in the defence; the possibility of victory in the attack.

The run from mid-October to Christmas was our downfall last year - we need to keep the form going and not lapse. That will be the challenge I want to see Arteta and the team rise to. I'll worry about the post-Christmas run after Christmas.
Too often, we've relaxed and lost games when the 'press' is positive and the pressure relieved - as it has been after the 3 back to back wins.
I am keeping my criteria the same on Arteta - in the mix for the top 4 , not disconnected with little chance at Christmas.

The reason I am more hopeful we can keep things going this year is that the overall character of the squad has been dramatically improved by our signings.

]11 September 2021 - 15:00 - Arsenal v Norwich City - WIN WIN +/-0
18 September 2021 - 15:00 - Burnley v Arsenal - WIN WIN +/-0
26 September 2021 - 16:30 - Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur - DRAW WIN +2
2 October 2021 - 17:30 - Brighton v Arsenal - DRAW
18 October 2021 - 20:00 - Arsenal v Crystal Palace - WIN
22 October 2021 - 20:00 - Arsenal v Aston Villa - WIN
30 October 2021 - 12:30 - Leicester City v Arsenal - LOSS
6 November 2021 - 15:00 - Arsenal v Watford - WIN
20 November 2021 - 15:00 - Liverpool v Arsenal - LOSS
27 November 2021 - 15:00 - Arsenal v Newcastle United - WIN
30 November 2021 - 15:00 - Manchester United v Arsenal - LOSS

20 points from 33. +2 vs forecast

I only expected us to be on 8 points four games into this run, but we're on 9 after 3.
If we beat Brighton, i reckon we can take 25+ points from the 11 games.
25 points last year after 14 games was just a point off top 4.

As it stands the 'sack-o-meter' is at 0 - i.e not happening.

Truth is with Solkjaer there Man U could falter, they do have a great squad but the manager makes a big difference.

That side should be tearing it up, instead they seem to struggle somewhat. I’d be worried if they got a decent manager.

Unfortunately we have zero chance of taking advantage of them faltering with our manager, he’s worse than Solkjaer.

Ironically, Pep did want to succeed Wenger at Arsenal at one point. ;)

My avid neighbour United fan next door but one doesn't like Ole and thinks he's not good for United, but he likes Arteta. Maybe that's because with Arteta his team will stay above us.
