This is my point and it makes no sense from Arteta.

The previous season Nwaneri was introduced to the world, remember the hoohaa and fanfare of the youngest ever Arsenal appearance, then we didnt see him again. Apart from avid Arsenal fans MLS was unknown. He began to get real game time by matchweek 16. He got much more game time than Nwaneri.

Now consider, Nwaneri was getting some eediot minutes in the first half of the season up to matchweek 19 when Arteta finally relented and game him real game time. Hence why I say Arteta managed him poorly, we had to wait until game 19 - halfway through the season, before we saw Nwaneri get proper minutes.

If he'd have played a lot and got injured , the narrative would be Arteta ruining a young player by overplaying him.
That is the nature of fan bases. They moan about whatever biases they have.
:dontknow:

Truth is that Nwaneri still exhibits all the flaws of young players - way too inconsistent.
His level is high, but he needs time.
MLS is actually quite a bit ahead of him in terms of his approach to the game and game awareness/decision making.. which is why he is getting more game time.
If you are good enough to force first team minutes , you get them.
It's always been as simple as that.

Nwaneri was injured for 4 weeks in between and missed 4-5 games.

Can't be injured and be on the bench

It's possible with this manager. He had Timber starting when he was still in recovery.

what does 'recovery' mean?
I have never seen any footballer play if they are unable to play.
Seen plenty of footballers play through knocks and pain , though.

Jay. rubbish

Nwaneri was at a higher stage of development, hence why he got brought into the first team from the previous season and hence why he was getting first team minutes at the start of the season, albeit measley, but MLS wasn't really getting any.

In that 7 league game spell when Odegaard was injured Nwaneri should've deputised. Instead he saw 57 minutes pf game time in total.

Something people on this platform say is OK to play on/ through

Nwaneri missed 5 games due to injuries which lasted about 18 days, last season. Seemed like a month, but I was incorrect.

Agent has flagged concern with the Madueke interest

Would likely limit his game time further since Madueke would be first choice backup covering both wings

We’ve all seen the reluctance of MA to bench Odeaard even in his worst form …

Fabricio saying Chelsea will push for Nwaneri

Yet to sign a new deal and concerns over his playing time following him being dropped at the back of of last season

Turning into another horror summer

Cole > Gallas v2 ?

Sounds like journalists creating a story specifically to troll Arsenal fans because they know they will get huge clicks and reaction - and many Arsenal fans always fall for every rumour.

Make up that we’re in for Madueke and sprinkle the extra hot spice on top that Chelsea are after Nwaneri.

The cheeky devils.

Our conversations are focused on the league, nobody is talking about cups. He missed 2 league games, I have continually spoken about league minutes.
