Just imagine losing the next Saka because we can’t plan a path to the first team for this incredible talent. Such short term thinking. Glad we discovered Saka before this lot showed up.

Very promising cameo. Overly keen at times but undeniably talented

Ethan Nwaneri has committed his future to Arsenal. The 16-year-old is signing scholarship forms with Arsenal and has agreed to a professional deal for when he turns 17 in March 2024

For a 16yr old he looked incredibly composed and positive when he came on today.
Great he was given some game time and has committed to us.

Very composed indeed. Probably reading too much into it, but I thought it was quite telling how often Odegaard passed him the ball when he came on. Always a nice boost to get a few early touches and low risk regarding the result, but still showed he had faith in the youngster's ability.
Good old Arsenal, we're proud to say that name

A lot of 16 year olds would have tried to do too much but he fit right into the way we play. Knew his role, how to move off the ball, when to make runs. We have something special here.

I know there were no standout moments of excellence, but the composure and direction changes reminded me of a young Cesc.

He looks like he might be more likely than Cesc to take a player on, but still didn't ever look like he was holding on for too long.

It was only another glimpse, but he looks good.

Arteta will dangle the carrot of first team minutes until he signs a new contract. Once he does we wont see him again. Seen that story with ESR and Nelson.

Entirely different player to Cesc though. Cesc, Alonso, Xavi, Pirlo, they never took players on, that wasn't their game, didn't need to.

So he brought him on at 0-6, is that the score Arteta feels its safe to blood the youngsters ?!!!!
