Didn’t matter what Holding did later.
After 11 minutes Son elbowed Holding in the face.
It was a blatant red card
Holding got to him and provoked a red card reaction.
The ref cheated and let Son off.

From 11 minutes we should have been at 0-0 playing against 10 men.
It’s that simple and unarguable.

"Didn’t matter what Holding did later" - that's what Holding thought - both of you are idiots

11 minutes in at 0-0

Like I said , we should have been playing against 10 men with 79 minutes left at 0-0.
Ref (and VAR who was Mike Dean by the way) 100% dictated the result.

There are no rational explanations as to why Son was not sent off.
There is no way an Arsenal player would have got away with that.

As usual we have 'Arsenal; fans' here delighted that we lost and loving bias refs against us.

Penalty?

Son is nowhere near the ball and swan diving before a very slight touch. He knew he was getting nowhere near it and dived.
Totally nonsensical decision.
10 penalties a game would be the norm if this was one and like I said the ref has the opportunity if he wants to, to always give a penalty to a team in a game.

Turns out the ref actually gave the penalty for handball, when there wasn’t one.

Soft penalty, maybe gets called ~30% of the time. One of those where there is barely enough contact to not get overturned.

Yep. Happens pretty much every game multiple times as defenders lean into forwards.
Referee was looking for the opportunity.
He and Mike Dean in VAR somehow missed the blatant elbow to the face of Holding, however.
Strange that.

Isn’t Clattenburg the ref that people didn’t rate on here and thought made awful decisions?

It was a penalty to most people as it was a foul, it even before that Spurs were on top anyway, it was only a matter of time before they scored against us.

When was the last time an Arsenal red card or penalty given against us was not challenged ? Every single time someone has to disagree and use the "Arsenal hard done by" argument ! It was a blatant foul and I refer again to the fact that - if it were the other way round every single person claiming it wasn't a penalty yesterday would be screaming for the penalty and claiming ref injustice if we didn't get it.
